I found the old SS plenty challenging solo... But anyway.

The senseless repetitive farming is still here. It's a part of any MMO. I was meaning more, having to set aside x hours to do something.
Lorelei + Fluffs made me not want to solo anymore. Luls.

True, but this is the last stage we're talking about. confused

What they have added was interesting: the updated maze, the fluffs that gather around that the giant eye, a bunch of what they did was good. It's the grind that gets hard and the lag.

We played on hard mode for starters. You have a patrol of something coming up at you every minute if you stay in the someplace for too long. And there are typically alot. More then they need. I think the devs believe that the more monsters = the greater the dfficulty. Which is false: the monsters just cause more lag and when you have most people in your crew lag and buffs start dropping, things start to get more difficult.

Honestly, I can't give a good esestmant of the play threw experience because the lag is WORSE THEN BEFORE down their! Before I might experience a little lag at Robofish cave. Now, I don't even make it out of Shallow seas before people are vanishing and I'm lagging.

Seriously, devs, fix the flash issue before anything else. If nothing else, go use what Fusion Fall uses for it's game. It can still be played from anywhere and I don't experience much lag... and thats talking about a 3D game for pete's sake!

personally I dont find anything challenging about it..
I see this change as an affront to common sense.
Logic for a difficulty level set at extreme is extremely difficult with a crew
of course a solo player who is being paid to test the game will find it quite
amusing, to be jerked with, but a casual player will not want to be involved
for very long .. major concern of my homebuds who play mmo for the heck
of it is why? Since when did an Adult cave into the whinings of kids. Lead
by example.. not by cynicism.. when dealing with minors.

Test.

Soloing.......
I went in on hard...

Clams (3) and are "Yellow" which means a level higher than a 10.0 , and are placed at an angle giving little room to manuever around the triangulated clam guard they have at the second page on entering. But they can be managed.. So why put in a level that is beyond 10.0 = max level for the area. Its like an 8.0 going into SS as it was before.
and a crew of 8.0 didnt make much of a difference either.

And dont go telling me to stick with the other two levels..
Been there done it.

Logic it seems to me was put on the back-burner for some good old high school pranks.

Good luck with your Betas... seems like someone is stuck in tinkering ..and/or have a phobia about presenting a "Final Product"... Please Lets do the right thing and stop nerfing our personal equipment: using game tactics/codes to nerf our internet connections..and keyboard functions as well as mouse/cursor functions..
"The Seeing is seeing" and the Hearing will soon be able to Hear" the nonsense-approach to change..

"Brother you got the power to Make a Change" and Sister you got the power to Re-arrange".

Nothing new in the world of zOMG, same old same old..

Oh Lag is still there so that pretty much Kill anything akin to "Fun"
I havnt been there yet but i'm sure they made it a challenge for the cl 10.0s instead of us being able to go right through. I am almost looking forward to the new ss. Its been a long time since i have had a challenge in the game. eek TOO LONG
And im sure its gonna have lag because its new and they need to work on it to get the lag out,,, wich i hope they do.

Correction, this is the last stage so far.

Even if that's not true though, most final dungeons either have a save point just before the final boss, or otherwise allow you to break it up into manageable pieces. Why is it that a casual MMO takes how long for an ordinary crew to get to the end?

Or forum regulars can realize that they're abnormally skilled and quit bitching about how s**t's too easy >.>;; I'm failing to see the casual these days.
Agreed. I found the difficulty pretty good. But this change was a bit dramatic.

Though, casual got fairly boring for me. It wasn't so much casual, because it was more so senseless repetitive farming, where the goal was to get through there as fast as you could while getting the most orbs. Which might be the reason for such bitching.

So much change could be a little bit overwhelming.

I'm just saying this because...
a. Even lone animated are ridiculously hard to defeat. Brain clams/fluffs have tons of HP.
b. They dish out huge amounts of damage.
c. Almost everything came in mobs.

More animated. More HP for the animated. More attack for the animated. Less HP healing for us.

Our rings needs an edge.

thats what ring polishers are for blaugh jk jk, i get what you mean, our rings heal us like 127 at 10 cl rr1, diagnose, by the time we heal thye prob dished out more damage than what we heal, so technically, were constantly loosing more hp than what we can heal for emo

its all about the developers, and what they wanted, they make difficult so that the suspense rises and stress as well, and so when you actually get to the end, its like jesus christ just saved you or a relief

A comment to everyone ranting about how SS/EB are way too hard: Why the heck do you think it's the ENDboss? Did you think it would be a walk in the park? Personally, I thought it was a bit too easy with a crew of six CL10s, I haven't tried the new one in an actual crew, but so far I am liking the updates. (Sure, I was killed one screen in, but now I KNOW when I've been sleeped, so furiously button-mashing my rings is no longer necessary.)

As for those of you experiencing lag problems, try lowering your graphics settings, and increasing the amount of space zOMG can use. To increase the storage space, right-click anywhere in the window, click "Settings" and click the folder. Move the slider to the right to increase the storage space (I'm currently going through all areas up to the first area of the SS/EB series to see exactly how much space it needs to run). The space used gets cleared each time you exit the game, so it doesn't linger around for ages at a time.

Even so, for it to be repeatedly farmed as if it was nothing?

About 2 hours? *shrug* I have no clue concerning Qix's intentions. emo

lol.. and you really believe that dont you ... how about raising your awareness ...

any mis-code is a Lag...lag..lag... what is lag .. it is a command issued that doesnt take you to your intended point and point blank stops computing .. to search for a logic that has been entered in code as "Null" and then redirects to either a last point or disconnect.. period...

You can give this program a billion gigs of memory and it will not make a difference if the error is in the coding .. intended or unintended..

you can take this to anther thread, dont waste our time in here, this thread is for SS discussion and for that note we know its the endboss for a reason but getting to him shoulgnt be so difficult, he himself should b difficult but getting to him shouldnt b dis difficult, end of story
all i have to say that anything that increases lag = no

but with that said, people with cl 10 accounts got their wish for 'something harder'

and i thought it was quite genius to make the shop easily accessible to people, while simultaneously making ss harder. maybe it's a way to get people to buy more polishers. well, anything that gets zomg money is good in my book. the more money they make for gaia the better staffed the devo team will probably be.
Adjusting to the new style of the Underwater Series is hard if you're used to getting through SS in a casual kind of way.
It isn't Village Greens. Defeat mobs just like you'd defeat other mobs in Old Aqueduct and Otami Ruins.

The lag, however, is absolutely terrible. That's something that needs to be worked on.
