Comment: It was stated that the skin would be part of something later and bigger. It wasn't stated that the 'something' would be part of the halloween event - in fact the way I read it, it looks like we were told it wouldn't be part of halloween. We may yet see the skin in an update or two.

I do recall that when Qix made that statement, however with him leaving, paranoia sets into the masses. So hopefully we will see another update besides more maintainance. Though if I recall, the Halloween event was considered more of a preview than an event and thus only the first part of something. The wording left easy assumptions about the timing of things which have proven to be completely untrue and thus more paranoia and annoyance sets in.

True. For all we know the something could be part of a fabled chapter 3. Given how long it's taken to even get chapter 1 working, it might never show up. Then again, it could be part of the very next update.

Personally, I'm going to wait and see. At worst we loose something we never had.

More like getting to taste the lobster/steak/insert awesome food, and then being told you won't get to have a full meal. I saw the snippet of detail on the skin and then saw the actual Night Frights so I have a good idea of how it will look, give or take a half dozen unknowable details but after seeing how much I loved the Alien Armorskin, my normal avatar type as case in point, I have a decent amount of respect for the artists to produce another great skin.

And I must have the precious, ya know?

That aside, I have to agree. We have no idea what damage, if any, occurred to the developing ideas for the game when Qixter left. I personally don't take Leon being the announcer as a good sign since that shows a bit of confusion in the ranks as to who should be in charge which leads me to believe this was all very sudden and probably personal.

And with any project with exceptional scope and demands, losing a key member out of the blue can be catastrophic. I only hope that the replacement leader can give us that hope back. In the meantime, I plan to lurk more, ignore the "No Feedback" crowd, and play Dragon Age Origins.

I'm a hoarder of items and I use them a lot more than people would realize so I feel a tiny pinch when I see something like this that I won't get to fiddle with. That is my damage, however, and we'll be fine without it.

And that is my concern. I waited over three years for this game, had my clan rolling for this and everything. Three years is a bit of a long time to have it end on chapter one. Besides, this look is very dear to me and pretty much impossible to replicate on other games so I am rather stuck here if I want to kill things in a proper dragon god fashion.

wink and you know DMP is a hill/mountain...
not to mention, for everybody that was haveing glitches getting stuck in the walls or even those that just closed out of zOMG! while IN under mountain ended up outside of DMP's gates in bills ranch when getting back onto the server..
its VERY safe to say that "under mountain" has alot to do with DMP! whee
come on, the Von Helson mansion is at the top of the hill.. VAMPIRES!! DUH!!!
(not completely sure how the werewolves tie into it though..
