The "Night Fright Skin" item has not yet been released. Believe it or not, the assets you're seeing in this Halloween event are only some of the parts we're building to make something even cooler. The skin will come out then.

Introduction!

Halloween starts now! And promises a really fun event for us, forum and zOMG! This thread will focus on zOMG in particular, but you can share your Halloween spirit here too!

news!So we had leaks on Leaktoberfest that leaded us to this moment. Now we have facts. What we have? Badges, Items, Portals, Night creatures, Pumpkin Fluffs and lots and lots of fun.

The good news is that we think it's going to happen. The bad news is that the "big plot revelations" I hinted at earlier just aren't going to make the cut this time. The event will be fun, and very Halloween-y, but we're waiting to do the plot stuff until later when we have more polish time.

Just like last year. But oh well, tips for the new folks.

• Trick-or-treating occurs only during Gaia night (6pm - 6am GST...approximately)
  
• NPCs that do trick or treating are dressed in costume.
  
• Just like IRL, Trick-or-treating results in either tricks or treats.
  
• Tricks include pumpkin fluff spawns, warping to locations around the world, or exploding cigars.
  
• Treats include gold, common loot items, uncommon loot items, recipes, charge orbs, or even rings.

Drops: Dental Floss
Items:
Killing Pumkin Fluff gives you one Oh My Gumball per account.

ABOVE GROUND NIGHT WALKERS!

• Monster invasions occur only at night.
  
• Each Gaia night, there are 3 portals that appear in each zone. (Village, Ranch, Zen, Bass'ken, Aqueduct, Beach, Otami)
  
• The portals stays in the same location for the entire Gaian night.
  
• Click the portal to pass through it and into the "Nest" beyond...
  

NESTS!

• There are seven Nests. Each Nest is composed of three rooms hooked together.
  
• Some cave areas are raised and can only be moved to by clicking cave entrances that connect from low area to high area.
  To leave the Nest, you have to do the following:
  
• Kill *At least* a certain number of monsters in the room. Each room keeps a separate count. However, you will probably need to kill more because the monsters don't *stop* spawning until the minimum is killed...and then you also have to kill any remaining monsters to complete the room.
  
• Once all the monsters in the room have been cleared, then the chest will pop open and reward everyone in the room.
  
• Once all three chests in the Nest have been opened, a portal will spawn.
  
• Clicking the portal exits the player to the Null Chamber.
  
• Gold and orb rewards increase based on the crew size.
  
  
  
  FIGHT THIS!
  
  Vampire & Vampiress: They attack quickly, have light damage, and a small DoT from each blow. Vampires can teleport if their target is too far away and they want to get closer.
  Drops:
  Vampire Blood
  
  
  Kill 250 Vamps
  
  
  Night Fright: They attack more slowly, but they hit hard. Their attack is AoE, but only in the front 180-degree arc of the monster. This attack also has a small chance of sleeping the targets hit.
  Werewolf: These guys hit for damage and knockback. They also have debuff resist.
  Drops Werewolf Pelt
  
  
  Kill 250 Werewolves
  
  Big Dog (Werewolf LT): These guys hit you...hard! They have largeish knockback. They are slower than a normal player, but have lots of hit points and a high debuff resist.

LOL, Easter much. Happened to me. Also I got frustrated but I handle to get the badge in the very last minute. So proud of myself.
I hope this year Halloween doesn't involve a crazy quantity of kills/hits to get one. I just want an interesting quest, dealing with some good vs evil stuff and save the world of annihilation (again)

Honestly, I hope we get an epic quest. The best events in years past were ones where the World Map (before Towns) turned into part of the quest and you had to collect things. The Towns quests were kinda fun too. I really am not a fan of this whole thing where we just post on forums to fight.
