Gold Farming Nerf Guide

Ok so many may wonder what is gold nerf and what does it mean for me? Here is a sticky Panagrammic wrote regarding it: Gold Adjustments & zOMG!

Time it resets: Midnight PST
What it is: A way to help reduce marketplace inflation by setting a cap on 100% earnings down to 20% upon reaching that cap

The Cap Gold Amounts:
Donor Status: 160K cap for 31 days
Gold Potion: 160K cap for 3 days
Regular Gold Cap: 50K cap all year

So now you may wonder what this means for a gold farmer. I've done all quests and all areas in game now, so going to break down the three most common areas to farm. I never fluff farm with village greens, I just do badging there, so anyone is welcome to put that info. If you are going to bring passives to ss, I would suggest either sugar rush or fortune's favor.

Amount of gold earned per instance:

Shallow Seas Hard with clams: 17K, 16K without major ghi luck bonus
Takes 3 runs to nerf to 50K
Takes 10 runs to nerf to 160K
Smob can take anywhere from 10 min to 15 min with a decent crew without amps.
Time to fully nerf take about 30 min with 50K.
It takes 1 hour and 40 min with 160K.
Time depends if people leave or rage quit, so it can take longer.

Passive runs with clams:
Integrity + Fortune's Favor + Fitness gets you 17K
Integrity + Fortune's Favor gets you 17K
Integrity only: 17K
Fitness only: 17K
Fortune's favor only: 18K

Shallow Seas Hard without clams: 15K
Takes 4 runs to nerf to 50K
Takes 11 runs to nerf to 160K
Smob this method can take anywhere from 6 min to 15 min with a decent crew without amps.
Time to fully nerf takes about 40 min with 50K.
It takes 1 hour and 50 min with 160K
So even though it is called speed shallow seas, it actually takes longer to nerf.
Passive run with Fortune's favor only: 16K

Shallow Seas Hard with End Boss: 35K - 56K
Takes 1 to 2 runs to nerf to 50K
Takes 2 runs 4 smobs or 3 runs and 1 smob to nerf to 160K
Smeb can take 45 min with decent crew without amps and 30 min with amps.
Time to fully nerf takes 30 min - 1 hour 30 min with 50K account.
It can take 1 hour 40 min with amps for the either the 2 smebs 4 smobs or 3 smebs 1 smob to nerf fully to 160K.
It can 2 hours 20 min without amps for the 2 smebs 4 smobs set or 2 hours 25 min for the 3 smebs 1 smobs set.

Papa Saw Normal:
Takes 13 instances to nerf to 50K
Takes 40 instances to nerf to 160K
Papa saw you earn 4K per run.
Time it takes is about 6 min.
Time it takes to fully nerf is 1 hour and 18 min to nerf to 50K.
Time it takes to fully nerf to 160K is 4 hours.

Papa Saw Normal with fortune's favor and fitness passives and angel ring set:
5K per run
Takes 10 instances to nerf to 50K
Takes 32 instances to nerf to 160K
Time it takes is about 6 min.
Time it takes to fully nerf is 1 hour to nerf to 50K.
Time it takes to fully nerf to 160K is 3 hours and 12 min.

Papa Saw Hard:
Takes 9 instances to nerf to 50K
Takes 27 instances to nerf to 160K
Papa saw you earn about 6K per run.
Time it takes is about 7 min, but I'd suggest to bring all buffs.
Time it takes to fully nerf to 50K is 1 hour 3 min.
Time it takes to fully nerf to 160K is 3 hours 9 min.

Dead Man's Shadow:
Takes 2 instances to nerf to 50K, but easiest to just do a smob before or after 1 instance.
It takes 6 to nerf fully to 160K, so I wouldn't suggest this for donor.
Bloodlust you'll earn 20K and first form Kamila you can earn 10K from.
Each run takes 4-8 hours when doing just green rooms, hundred percent room, crypt, and bloodlust. My first bloodlust run was 36 hours, so if taking longer than 8 hours, just stop because it isn't worth it.
The neat thing about doing DMS is the shadow orbs to level higher than 10cl and possible epic recipes which can help earn you some gold as well as selling the loot.
It is the most time consuming and one of the most challenging instances in game, so make sure crew chemistry is good with personalities, otherwise it will not be as much fun.

So enjoy gold farming Gaians and hope this guide helps. If you are really needy for gold, try playing other games like Booty Grab and Heralds of Chaos along with zOMG! HoC has a cap 50K and 160K for booty grab. Monster Galaxy is another game you can earn some gold too on, I'm just not sure how much.

Yeah I know. Coming back from hiatus, I'm like so tired after my smeb runs. I spent all morning writing this and doing the math. xd I'm glad people are reading the thread so far. I hope it makes it easier for players to figure out how much time and runs it takes to nerf.

I know right. xd Well pretty much 3 smobs = 1 smeb. Yeah sometimes I just lose count on which run I'm on because of just enjoying crewing so much. I hope the guide is ok and helpful. Nerfing with papa saw with donor would be killer I think. I don't even want to calculate how long it would take with fluff farming in village greens or tt farming. I'm just guessing it would take hours. Thank goodness for being good with math, so I didn't have to test all those ps runs. burning_eyes I'm exhausted just for smebbing a little today after my hiatus. I don't even care that I didn't nerf. emotion_zzz

It is helpful and a good reminder for those that forget after leaving and coming back on gaia xD
I haven't ps in a long time so I wouldn't know. XD
Finding good crews are hard nowadays ;o; So thats why I rarely nerf even with 50k.
