if the ring isnt in the inventory, you might need to wait for the zOMG application to update your rings

Yes, it will work. The game's code doesn't care how you obtain a ring. As long as the ring is in your inventory one way or another, you can use it.

Should probably point out:

Don't buy rings off the MP, unless they are Fortune's Favor, Sugar Rush, or Sweet Heart.

Other than those, the rest (excluding Integrity) are available ingame.

And since all rings (except the first 3 listed) soulbind upon use, you will never get the +90k you spent on the ring back.
