Restless Rings - This is a curious little glitch, wherein unsoulbound Rings purchased from the Marketplace will not permanently soulbind - as intended - when a player equips them. As far as I'm aware, the rings
display as soulbound while equipped, but the next time the player logs into the game, the ring will not only have become unsoulbound, but have hopped
out of his ring tray and back into his inventory. Being that this is a nuissance, the workaround of performing a 'Swap' on the affected ring (which
does successfully soulbind them) has become common.
----
Bought and Found - While on the subject of Market-bought rings, another common issue springs to mind; rings purchased from the Marketplace have a habit of being placed at the very
depths of a player's ring inventory. Many new buyers have issues finding those rings (the scrollbar that indicates the extended inventory is rather discreet), and the hassle of scrolling through dozens of empty rows to reach it is needless, anyhow.
I don't think a long explanation like this is really necessary, but... ehh...
For these 2, it goes something like this:
"Bought and Found" rings or powerups appear in the buyer's inventory wherever the seller had them. If that's in the first slot of the powerups tray, that's where it will be. If it's in row 121, column 3 of the ring inventory, that's where it will be~
Now if there's something in the spot already, it becomes a bit trickier. In the case of permanently unsoulbound rings, they will take the spot of anything that was in the previous spot. Whatever was there previously will then take up the earliest available spot in your ring inventory~
In the case of powerups, they place themselves in the first open spot it can find. Whether that's in your powerups tray or powerups inventory. I only tested transferring powerups between trays though... and it has been awhile since I've actually done it... but nevertheless, something like that~
"Restless Rings" came as a result of there being a point and time where rings automatically soulbound. To prevent that from happening. I'm betting the rings being moved back into one's inventory is a result of a "check". And swapping its CL changes it to... well, I can't properly explain this in my current state, but I think you know what I'm getting at by now~
Basically though, "bought and found" isn't really a glitch itself, but is what's responsible for some/all unsoulbound "restless rings". (I can't say for sure, as the only people who talked about it had the issue. Those without it/didn't care about it never said anything.)
