How can you tell when someone bots? :O
They usually stand in one spot, never buffing, never interacting, and they will target and kill animated as quickly as they spawn. Now, that could also describe the actions of almost anyone who is just farming for badges, orbs, or gold; however, a normal person will pause occasionally to get a drink, take or make a phone call, change a channel on TV, cue up a song from a playlist...human things. When that happens, some animated will slip through while the player is distracted, or the player will move. In other words, they break pattern occasionally. A bot will keep targeting and killing, targeting and killing, never missing a beat, never breaking their pattern.
I will generally watch a suspected bot for a while...then start luring hoards of animated to them, eventually overwhelming them. A human player will react in some way...healing, escaping, or yelling at you for dumping buckets of angry fluffs all over them. A bot will never give ground, just target and kill, until they get dazed. When they get dazed, they just stand there until they finally disconnect from being inactive for so long.
