Animated Insta-spawn Phenomenon

So I was just strolling through Village Greens when I stumbled upon something very extraordinary!

Behold:

Apparently the animated were respawning within seconds of them being killed! What could possibly cause this to happen? It seems similar to the rapid egg spawns after the Golden Egg was killed during the zOMG Easter event.

For anyone interested it is occuring on Alarmskeeter at the time of the creation of this thread.

I was able to get to another layer and found that it didn't occur on that layer. It seems specific to the layer that the spawn was happening on.
