Wow that just looks sad with the animated blocked.

Is it noticeably faster when just blocking the big ones like Fire Rain and HWB?

Blocking fire makes your avi disappear occasionally. I haven't tried to block HWB.

Blocking gold and orbs (you still see the number of gold earned above your head but not the gold flying towards you) is the best thing you can do without changing the experience as much.

You don't really NEED to open them, as everything you actually need is on the first page; it explains how to adblock, what links to use, etc. There's also links to adblocks you can download.

By the way since I didn't mention it before, the adblocking DOES work in Chrome, at least with Adblock PLUS for Chrome (I just tried it). Just go to "options" then "customize" then "manually edit your filters". Copy/paste the URLs of the animated you wanna block from the second post, save it, and bam. All done.
