After I read this thread, I checked the rings stats. Hack is no longer superb just strong nearly equal to mantis and bump went from strong to moderate.

What CL? cuz my hack bump n mantis on 10, my bump says superb, mantis says strong, n hack says strong,

NEWS AND CONTRADICTION COMING TO SURFACE, THEY MIGHT NERF TURTLE AND REMOVE ROCK FROM GAME

CL doesnt affect the ring stats and the damage stats for bump said moderate.

Hmm. Maybe it's a curious case of the Coatl Room. Just a second...

EDIT: There we go. On Buzz Saw's GB now, and Hack did notably more than Mantis (~100 more, but I'm at C.L. 10.0)

EDITEDIT: Very curious. Mantis hit up 300+ damage just now too. Critical hits? x_x;;

I'll test this seriously tonight when I have some time. I have to go shopping now.
Hmm critical hits. I wasn't aware that they existed. BTW make sure that you're testing the rings in the same square, on the same animated as there are minor CL differences from square to square in areas.
I'll do that when I do the proper tests.

And yeah, I didn't know they existed either. Maybe it's part of the giant ring update that slipped out? We can but hope.

@RsSepulcher: What? Critical Hits have nothing to do with rage ranks.
The devs must have been listening. We've been talking about critical hits for quite a while, right? Maybe Keen Aye and Knife Sharpen increase the likelihood?
If they did listen, then that's how it'll work. I'll be able to take note of it when I test tonight.

Should be interesting.

landshark gets summoned to once a week now, he dropped to many items, and he now appears at boardwalk i believe
if they moved him to boardwalk then that's alright.. but still, once a week is even more brutal then the apx. 3 hours for giftbox respawns

omg i know, there nerfing turtle and rock as we speak crying
NO!!!!!
NOT MY TURTLE, OR MY ROCK ... stop Devs, you've done enough.. you've killed zOMG
"Stop! Stop! He's already dead crying " - kid, Simpsons

Sht nvm there nerfing rock n turtle ma bad XD naw check with Zuhiel, he got da info
I've heard that too but it's unconfirmed by any staff last I checked so I'm not worrying about it but if they do nerf either, I'm quitting zOMG.

Most likely. It will make knife sharpen much more useful even though it's already pretty useful in SS and she wolf.

It does not. It only makes it so that you almost never miss when fighting she wolf on hard. Seriously try it without knife sharpen and keen aye. You'll waste 150 stamina getting only like 7 hits in.

Perhaps but then why do animated not give critical hits? I mean coatl has never done 900 damage to me yet (unless I'm kneeling in which he does aroud 1500 damage)
That was weird.

I tested the Pirate Set and Mantis as a 7.0 in Gold Beach.

Mantis was scoring very closely to Hack at RR1 but Mantis was consistent with the high 90s and low 100s. Hack sometimes ranged 84-115. Hack did 252 at RR4 against a golem and Mantis did 182. Slash was feeling sad and left out hitting only 64-83. Shark Attack even sadder at 58-81.

A rapid fire weapon like Mantis is quite unbalanced at that power. Too much for anywhere except the SS though.

Mantis - Strong
Hack - Strong
Slash - Moderate
Dervish - Moderate
Shark Attack - Moderate
Bump - Moderate
Guns- Moderate
Shuriken - Moderate
Hornet's - Feeble
Fire Rain - Feeble
Solar Rays - Moderate
HWB - Moderate
Hunter's Bow - MODERATE

Yes shark is now weaker than slash. Very sad as when zOMG first came out, it was the 2nd strongest ring in the game. Still I think it would be best for you to test the rings at 10.0.

if we get mobbed by animated, and they constantly hit like barnacle fluffs, we would die quicker, no??

Holy cow. That would explain why my Hunter's Bow was doing damage close to my Slash. I wonder if the Speed Buff changed?

Oops sorry I posted this only in the zOMG Elite thread I made.

Just went to check the ring strength and it seems that almost ALL the rings have been nerfed. Listing ones I currently see:
1. hack: superb-strong
2. bump: strong-moderate
3. slash: strong-moderate
4. shark attack: strong-moderate
5. fire rain: weak-feeble (not sure about this. Fire rain user please confirm)
