Why? If I get any spare time for it, I'm going to get a crew together that'll follow my plan against 'em. But for right now, solo when I get the urge to fight a brick wall.

You know...I've seen nothing but asinine bitching in this entire thread so far. Have any of you considered waiting until the balance updates come in before bitching at the accused nerfs and glitches?? As for the guild bitching, please take it to your respective pm's or another forum. As for the mistake of putting out the nerf update without the balance update, that's entirely the dev's fault for doing that. Even so, we know that there's supposed to be a balance for the nerfs once the next update comes.

But that's what we're bitching about, isn't it? :

Even if we KNOW (Or assume) balancing updates are coming out, it's still a pain in the a** for the users who are playing during the weeks while it's unbalanced.

And even if it does balance, what if we still don't like the changes? Maybe we're complaining about the individual changes, the changes to each ring on its own?


Even if you do have something relevant mixed in there, a post that's bitching about our bitching is just annoying and off topic. Everyone has the right to complain, and though it's mostly complaints, this thread is still a discussion. If you don't like it, don't read it. :

talk2hand If you don't like the updates/mistakes they've made to zOMG, then don't play it until the next update. It's as simple as that than complaining about it in a "discussion" forum. It's still in testing phase. Nothing's going to stay exactly the same way as it is. There's room for experimentation and balancing. If a certain ring overpowers others, it's obvious they're going to balance them out by nerfing said ring. This is an MMO. The balancing of the rings urges people to crew and not solo. If the nerfing of Hack was meant to be, then that alone would be a prime example of them not wanting us to solo.

This topic has already derailed from the first two pages anyways, but only because of the complaints. If you didn't like what I said, then you shouldn't have read it in the first place.

I logged onto zOMG today for the first time in a few days and the first nerf I noticed were bandage and diagnose. Bandage now healing 40 per tick rather than 50. At first I was a bit irritated but soon got over it. Then I noticed that you guys patched the mask safe zone glitch and again was a bit irritated but OK with it since it was a glitch. But now I see that hack does less damage than mantis? That is just not right. Hack uses twice the stamina and has twice the recharge time. Why is it now WEAKER than mantis? Hack has become a near useless ring just like the shark attack ring before it and bump is now the strongest ring in the game (I think). The only explanation that I can think of is that you are doing this to force us to buy powerups to get through the game but I personally am NOT going to buy any powerups until I can play zOMG and actually have fun. I really hope this nerf isn't permanent as it has really thrown off every sweeper strategy I've had due to it being focused around the brute force of hack.

Idiot, in almost any thread, people will read ALL comments. I know you're trying to turn my own words back at me, but that doesn't even make sense. -__-

And I understand all of that. My own post had nothing to do with any of that. On top of it, I HAVEN'T been playing zOMG while all of this is going on. I was invited by the thread creator and figured I might as well add in. :

But a discussion forum is for discussion, whether positive or negative. There are tons of random rant posts and spam threads you could b***h in. Even if the main discussion was derailed, there is still some discussion going on, and your post won't make it die out any faster. You only serve to further distract from the intended discussion.

I don't know if people think it makes them look smart, but popping into threads and saying "Get over it", or "It's a beta, obviously this is going to happen" gets tiring. If a beta ran with no one ever complaining, it wouldn't be beta. Just a series of flawless updates. -__-

I never really used deflection rings, myself... But wasn't it supposed to only deflect a portion of the damage? O:
As in, you would see 0 when the ring deflected more than the monsters total attack. The SS monsters did get stronger (Unless that was for next update xP ).

But, even though it's annoying, if you could receive 0 damage from the strongest non-boss monsters in game, wasn't the ring kind of overpowered anyways? o__o
funny how every one thought the devs were going to nerf the defense first and they ended up nerfing every thing else lol rofl

first of all how the eff do you know ether or not they aren't working on chapter 2.
a good while back, qixter said the reason we dont get updates every single week is because theyre making the new content. this s**t is not gonna happen overnight.

either way, you don't work for gaia, you are not a dev, you are not on the dev team, and u do not know why the changed s**t so dont act liek u do.

and if u think shits so effed up, get off the server. one less noob for me to have misfortune of crewing with. you are nothing but a whiner, this offers not legitimate discussion, and is clause for your not being missed.

Not really, because it was not consistent. It was kind of an all or nothing type of thing. And it didn't work on willpower-type attacks.

First, is there any proof that we're doing less damage than before the update?

Second, has anyone ever thought that they were reducing our current ring's attack "strength", i.e. Strong -> Moderate, to make room for future rings that are stronger but have no power level?

Say the highest attack ring was Hack, which is very strong. If they moved it down to strong, then a future ring would have very strong, maybe called "IMA FIRIN MAH LAZZAAH". It's possible that the actual strength of our rings were not reduced, but only reduced in CLASS, to make room for other "levels" or "classes".


That's what worries me - all the current rings are being nerfed so that they can toss rings in the CS. They best not be stupid enough to make them soulbound right off the bat, they better be soulbound upon equipping. mad

Anyway, yes, Hack got a major nerf, and I'm furious. I took it down when I was tooling around in the Seas yesterday, and it was hitting between 100-140 damage, it was ridiculous. I actually thought it was a glitch, until I stopped over here and saw I wasn't alone. For double the stamina and a longer cooldown, damn right it should a helluva lot more damage than Mantis! mad

@Etherealsage: My Pot Lid was still pulling a good number of 0's yesterday, when I was down in the Seas at 10. O_o
