We're Working on Performance Now!

Hey there, zOMGaians,

Many of you out there are suffering through some pretty nasty performance issues while playing the zOMG! Beta.

THERE IS HOPE!

We're submitting our next update to QA tomorrow and will be working bugs out on that for a couple of weeks.

But while that update is being tested, our programming team is strapping on the wargear and heading deep into the code, aiming to kill the things that ail it.

We have programmers working to speed up the rendering process, programmers working on network packet size, and programmers working on skinnying down the Java server code so the servers get more stable.

We're working on it hard this month. And we have some real good ideas on what to do.

So hang in there. The improvements won't be major until 4-5 weeks from now, but they're coming!

(Plus, yes, we're going to do a Halloween event. The Art team and Design team are working on that while the coders are tearing things apart and reassembling them leaner and meaner! biggrin

Does this mean there are going to be fewer necessary server rotations?

OH, I also wanted to ask - are there going to be any frame rate tweaks in this update? 'Cause I'm not sure, but I think the new numbers for damage/HP are awful laggy. But that could just be the game.

Will the "requirement matrix testing*" you spoke of not so long ago follow some time after this? I would gladly like to know if our computer should normally be able to play this game or what to aim for when I finally decide to buy my own computer. : D

Hopefully I'll get a bit more interested in playing again, but as of now I'm not all that into it.
I mean.. I can barely live against 2 clams on Normal, solo.
(And I am doin' it right or else Cho would facepalm me xp )
And yes Q, I like to Solo in SS even though you have made it very obvious you don't want people to be able to solo SS....
As soon as the rings were changed, I got even less interested.
The lag, bugs and such are not helping the fact I don't really want to play much anymore..
So for now.. the Halloween event is the only thing sparking my interest.
I do hope it's interesting..

thanks god, that you concentrate on bug fixes only for while ><
the new updates were nice eyecandy, but it is so hard to play latelly because of all this lag and bugs Y_Y
zOMG really needs a solid base and then all the new features =D
