Welcome to Gaia! ::

I recently started back on Gaia and playing ZOMG, and it seems like it's taking forever to get gold and orbs and thought it would be great if we could have a better way of obtaining both of these things ... in a duel with other users.

Being able to put up Orbs and Gold for who ever wins. Even having team battles and splitting the winnings 50 50.

I would love to see something like this in action, I don't know how exactly the dueling process is going to work, but that simply comes from a lack of playing very much video games and RPG's. I'm sure someone here can perfect this idea.

Betting on PVP matches. Hmm... doesn't sound like too shabby an idea. But what makes you think you'd always win? blaugh Sounds like a system where you could also lose more gold and orbs than win them.

Also, first person to enter this thread and mention how it'll never happen cause zomg is on maintanence mode blah blah blah gets kicked in hte shins. mad
If there is PVP then the winner would be the person with the most hax.
Everyone would practically have the same set.

Sounds just about right ... The winners will win and losers will lose. But i'm certain if anything does come of this, you will be able to ONLY battle people who are your level so as to have a proper balance of wins and loses. There will also be some sort of caps on how much gold you wage, based on your level maybe. So lets say ...

LVL | GOLD | ORBS

1 - 2k - 10k - 10
5 - 50k - 50
10 - 200k - 200
12 - 400k - 400

? Hax ? That wouldn't happen since they don't exist.

Same set of what ?

Same set of what ?

1) Hax is luck factor, not hacks, as in cheating.
2) Same ringsets, it would probably be something along the lines of 6 attacks, bandy, and div.
Every single time.

Ah, Thanks.

Sounds good. So, sort of turning the rings into "cards" figuratively speaking.

How about also being able to see the opponents rings to come up with some strategy to win ?

You naturally could see the other player's rings through character info
A better idea would of the opposite,
To not let the other person see their rings.
That would form some sort of strategy at least.

Beloved Elder

Wouldn't the first person to get off a successful Scaredy Cat win?

True, Then again there's always that edge to "knowing" and not "knowing" ... knowing what they have and not know what they are going to do.

Lock'em in ! whee If they want to quit then they have to pay half or a quarter of how much they waged to the opponent unless both come to equal terms.

It won't be like Pokemon ... or will it ?

Rogue

You will be better off playing HoC instead zomg.... zomg is on maintenance mode and we will be forever waiting for update xD

Or quicksand with ranged rings o3o

That's assuming your enemy will be stupid enough to go all CQB.

Then just RR4 tape them when you need a break, then repeat.

They won't be able to out-heal your damage unless they're carrying Diag + bandage o3o

If they have higher willpower, though, you're screwed.

Which is why I wouldn't suggest cat.

It's already hit or miss on accuracy, and at least with tape/QS you're guaranteed a strike, even if it's for a few seconds o3o

Bloodthirsty Pie-Maker

1 on 1 seems fair.
