I was just trying to complete the "upgrade your ring quest" and after upgrading my ring, Trixie won't talk to me anymore. Plus, the quest is saying "incomplete" in my quest log. Do I have to wait a bit for it to update/refresh before it will show as completed?

Nevermind! I got it working...had to upgrade it a few more times.
