Hello everyone. I know things have been difficult the past couple months due to the inflation and all...giving gifts has never been more difficult! It’s a heavy blow, especially around the holidays, so I decided to make this thread to help take the edge off and remind us all of what’s truly important – being together and having fun. After all, it’s the users that make this website great!

If you like to roleplay or want to give it a try, please stick around and write with us! Pretend your avatar is its own character and join us in a little party we’re hosting. In the name of the holiday spirit, during the event we’ll be giving out perks and prizes to some of the most active participants, so be sure to subscribe so you can find us again! Please write your posts like a story and to the best of your ability. Don’t worry about being too formal, here it’s okay to put your character’s actions in asterisks (*…*) and dialogue in quotations (“…”). Just please spell out every word and make sure what you write makes sense.

If you have something to say out of character, type “OOC:” and then your message either at the bottom of your post or in its own post.

If you want to hear back from a specific writer, go ahead and quote them. No quoting my posts here on the first page, it’ll make things look bulky. Also please refrain from making long quoting trees, trim it down every so often to make things clear and easy to follow.

Please don’t ignore other rpers, as long as they are in fact participating and following the rules. We want everyone to feel included!

If you're new to the thread, or leave and come back, I'd recommend quoting someone right off the bat to interact with, makes things easier.

Avi art and other illustrations are fine to use, just please keep it appropriate content and an appropriate size - page stretching isn’t pretty.

Volt is my avatar and original character - electric elemental and princess of the Cloud Kingdom. Today, however, she and her friends are stationed on Gaia throwing a party and you’re invited! They rented a resort for the holiday season where there’s plenty to do both inside and out. Play in the snow then come in and sample fine food and beverages, put your feet up by the fireplace, read a book, give and open gifts, and more. There are also individual rooms in case your character gets tired and wants to take a nap. The spoiler button below contains more detailed descriptions in case you get stuck on ideas.



Location Descriptions

Ski Slopes:
Just a mini trek out from the resort and there's a supply rental place where you can acquire everything you need for skiing and snowboarding. A ski lift slowly rotates up and down the slope so you have to be careful when you're hopping on and off the seat. The slopes range from easy, moderate, to extreme difficulty, so be careful not to get lost...or hit a tree on the way down!

The Lobby:
Includes a front desk with a little bell you ring for service. All the staff are NPC's (no player characters) and can be written for by all participants in this thread. There's a fish tank against the wall and a bench placed beside it. Behind the desk is a cabinet with keys to the rooms for rent.

The Gift Shop:
Includes all the impulse buys you could want...tiny keychains, rumbled stones, rock candy - just don't get the two mixed up! Not to mention postcards, stuffed animals, puzzles, and more.

Guest Lounge:
Includes several couches placed around a coffee table, a large flat screen television, and a hot tub in the corner.

Game Room:
This is an arcade complete with old fashioned games like Pac Man, plus skee ball, grabber claw machines, virtual racing games, and more.

Resort Restaurant:
A respectable little place that serves just about anything you can think of.

Because holidays are fun and gifting is awesome we’ll be giving out some amazing grand prizes at the end of this event. The winners will be chosen at random, but priority is given to those who best demonstrate the true spirit of the holidays – those who participate actively, are kind and respectful, and who follow the rules.

Since that’s a ways away though, we’ll be giving out some other great stuff throughout the event as well. Small prizes will be issued to posters every 5 pages and medium prizes will be issued every 10 pages. Once we hit a certain number of pages our Voltage Meter will fill up and unlock yet another special surprise – one you don’t want to miss!

Grand Prizes:
Issued to -- Domino The Damned --, Hybird, & Caimbrie for their friendliness and activity during this event.

Kelly quickly entered the resort, having taken the ski lift up. She walked in through the lobby, shivering a bit, even with her heavy coat. The cold kitty warmed up a bit before taking off her coat and hanging it up on one of the hooks. Putting a finger to her lips, she looked around. It seemed she was the first one to show up.

"...nya... great. And I thoughts I was gonna be fashionably late... mraaa..."

She mumbled to herself and then suddenly perked up as her eyes spotted the fish tank. Within seconds, she was right up at the aquarium gazing at the fishies. Her hands on the glass as she leaned forward a bit, her tail up and swaying side to side, forgetting that she had on a tiny miniskirt.

A way's off from there, Volt was glaring behind the corner wall, lurking in the shadows. Her eyes weren't fixated on the neko however - they were locked on the fish tank. Her eyes narrowed in suspicion, confronted by her oldest nemesis - water. Volt was not a strong swimmer by anyone's definition, likely the farthest thing from, so much that she even distrusted the element in the smallest of quantities.

The fish however, were pretty cute.

"Brrr.. it's cold out there.." Asra said to herself, as she entered the lobby through the main doors. She brush off some snow from her outfit and boots, before glancing around the lobby. Her orange eyes spotting a woman by the fish tanks. "Hello and.. you might want to fix your skirt.." She said, slightly blushing

Melody walked through the game room, looking some something to play. "Lame, boring.. very lame and.. ohh.. dance dance revolution.." She shrugged. "Eh why not." She walked up to the machine and placed in the correct amount of coins. She shuffled through the set-list before picking a song to dance to.

Kelly's ears perked up at the sound of someone else in there, though she didn't turn around until they mentioned her skirt. Her cheeks turned red hot as she realized what that meant, quickly pushing down her skirt and tail.

"S-Sowwy! I... um... didn't mean f-for that to happen..."

She whined slightly, her whole face red as she looked at the newcomer. Though she had a strange feeling that this girl wasn't the only one here.

What a great first impression... just show off your underwears to the world...

[Lethia Minakarmaru]

Folding her tattered wings behind her, back, Lethi took a step into the warm building. Though it was cold outside, she wore very little. The clothing revealed most of her midsection and arms, revealing the pale pearly colored skin that gleamed and shinned when ever she moved in certain light, but the cold seemed to not bother her, as she walked into with out a single shiver.

Taking a glance around, she moved the pure white rose she had in her hand in front of her nose, taking in the soft scent as her shadowed eyes glanced around. This place doesn't seem to bad She thought lightly, as her tail wrapped it's self around her midsection as she walked farther in, seeing if she could find anything of interest.
