TIME

When you are Young you are so curious about everything, you see everything as if it was so new. You ask about anything and about everything that you see, you give it so much attention. If your parents show you the sky on how it changes from morning, afternoon, and evening, you get so excited that you would want to go outside every day and see the sky from how it changes from sunny, cloudy, and rainy. You get so happy, that you show it to your parents, brothers, sisters, and friends and to people you don’t even know. But when the time passes by and you get older, you don’t give much attention to the world anymore, you got a new cell phone, new laptop, a T.V and money, and that’s only what you care about. You waste your time texting, watching T.V or playing in the computer, that you forget about everything else, you don’t see your pet animals anymore, the plants of the backyard are dry, and you hate when it rains. You forget that the air that you breathe comes from the trees that got dry from your backyard because you were so entertained with your computer you forgot to apply water to your plants; you forgot that those plants make the house look nice. You forgot that life isn’t about money, it’s about love, happiness, living each day as if was your last. Learning from yesterday, living for today, and hoping for tomorrow. When you are a teenager you don’t know how life is, you see it as if it was a game, which you can do whatever you want. But is not like that, you only get one chance to live, don’t waste your time on doing nothing. Time keeps going, it never stops, everything stays the way it was, and you are the one that changes. When you are an adult you only care about money, yourself, and nothing else. Why don’t you care about others? Don’t let time pass by. When you get old, like 70 years old, you’ll notice that you have not done anything extraordinary in your life, the only thing you did when you were young was play games, text, watch T.V and anything else. When you were an adult you only cared about money and yourself, were was the happiness, the love? When you get old you see the real world you have been living in for 70 years. Don’t wait until you are old to see the real world, start now, stop texting, and stop watching T.V, stop playing games, because those things don’t lead you anywhere. Stop thinking only about you, and start thinking about other people, that there are people that need help. It’s never too late to do it, but is better if you start now, don’t keep wasting your time. Go out, enjoy the beauty of the world and every smile in every people.

Without hope

I lost hope,
everytime i thought of you,
i thought you were gone forever,
i slept every night dreaming of you,
untill i gave up,
When i finally saw you 20 years later,
nothing was better than seeing you,
you dragged me out of the dark,
and into the light,
You made me feel like i wasnt alone,
I had someone to talk to,
someone to share my life with,
when im gone,
you will be with me forever.

yay i hope ya like it biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

Erm...what would you consider flash fiction? Poem or short story? I'll let you decide.

Ska Father

I could feel the sound reverberating deep within my chest. It was a steady pounding that would slowly build up until the drop brought everything to a sudden calm. The guitars played out like baying whales singing a lullaby to the sea, their echoed voices wrapping me into their calming embrace.

I could hear my father singing along, his soft voice just audible over the rush of the wind from the open windows. The sounds of 66 filled the car and the breeze tousled my hair as I laid my head on the cool door. The sound of passing cars engulfed me, but I could still hear the tell tale mellow repetition of the base line.

Then came the build up. It was like a wave slowly pulling backwards out into the ocean before it clambered up and crashed down, washing over me. It was calm again. A gentle rift slowly rocked me to sleep.

Ten years later, I sat outside a small house, tapping my foot to the same rift. My eyes were shut and I was oblivious to anything but the music. I didn’t hear the wild voices of the crowd inside or the idle chatter of the gossipers outside.

In my mind, I was nine years old again driving home with you. There were no cars to be heard now; no rushing wind; no soft voice singing along. In my heart though, I was with you.

I'll go with story then since poetry requires a certain rhythm and format.
I'll join the short story... c:

been meaning to write some shorts lately anyway.
Sure, ill do something...lets see here...

Poem:

Even when you cry, i will still wipe away your tears
Even when you scream, i will always be there to comfort you
As i write this lullaby, i give you a kiss to drive away your fears
Sleep my darling, dream of the peace you never knew

In this dark world, where fear grips us tight
Make no mistake, death will come tonight
Scream not my dear, just follow the light
You no longer must worry, you can rest now, there is no need to fight

Though i will miss you always, fear not my dear
For i will always be with you, If not my soul, then my memory
You will see me everytime you look through a mirror
I will be with you soon, for my life here is temporary

Through all our pain and suffering, still we remain
For i have made sure your sacrafise was not made in vain

Now, forever yours, may my love drown you like rain

Well, theres my poem.... xd
