Have you been published yet?

sweatdrop No. Not for fiction, anyways.

But! I submitted a piece earlier this week, and I'm still waiting to hear back.

( I've been published by the editor a few times, but I'm not sure that really counts. They tend to favour dramatic opinion > quality writing. )

What about you?

I still think it is cool that you've been published for some writing, even if it wasn't fiction.

My first publishing will be in May and June in an online magazine. I don't think it is a big deal but everyone I tell is really happy for me. If I get published in something with a larger reputation, I will be pleased.

Phase 2: My Story

Hear My Call

In every way, everywhere, angels will hear you scream, laugh, cry, and shout. And if only, that I could hear my angel fly to me and tell me the truth and lies that hides in my world, it would been all better. Just all better...

I blow a cough and fog my breath on the glass window. Rather did anybody talk to me, for I was disabled. I had suffered Cerebal Palsy when I was just about a three-year old. Even my own family thought I had no benefits for to live. They all think I'm dumb, and messed up. My head swayed as if
I was drunk. I looked over to my right and my spit drooling down my shirt. My only companion... Was a fourteen year old baby doll. Dirty, rusted, and one of it's eyeballs popped out. My twisted red hair followed my body to my doll friend. But squirming up and down did nothing. She'd need someone to walk her somewhere, and her mom was the only one who was there for her. Her kind, gentle dad however... Let's say he's lost somewhere.

How ever is this world cruel to me

My body disjointed, yes that I see

What was so secret that was sworn

Some say that I was lucky to be born

Hear my call god, god I swear

Demons and darkness curses beware

My pleads and screams are burning to fall

My trills are tensions

And trying to call

My eyes are red, sweaty my hands

Give me legs so I can dance

Dance like the wind

Dance far away

Dance so my hips can sway

One more time I say

God hear my screams

God hear my call...

I think that, even without winning gold prize, a solid critique would be helpful to any writer. I just wanted to state that I really like this concept, and think it's very helpful to a lot of people, whether they're deemed the winner or not. I appreciate you holding a contest like this.

I will be as helpful as I can be. I am studying a creative writing course in University, but I am still learning. This is my first writing contest hosted in the writing contest forums, but I have hosted two others in my charity.

Okay, how about I just cut out some of the lengthy detail-I'll get the full plot in but it'll be a little more of a quick read where it's all condensed.
