IN BELLUM VERITAS EST
Update 2/15
Finally lured my rabbity, panicky ol' self back to the Colosseum. Don't ask me how. (Well, okay, Mahayr had a huge hand in it.) I was really depressed and stuff and none of it is a good excuse--but we do not deal in excuses! We deal in actions, even if they are extremely sheepish!
Speaking of actions, here is my Extremely Sheepish Return To-Do List Of Fish Doom:
--PM serpenteyes now 3+ months late NaNo judgments (if she still wants them?)
--judge CA.ged vs Mahayr already!
--post poem for duel vs serpenteyes
--write poem for duel vs dema
--backread both threads
I will put a strike through those tasks as I complete them, just like the word Fish above. 3nodding
Speaking also of people who should return, I'd like to ask anyone who remembers BlueBus fondly to PM him and tell him why him coming back to the Colosseum would make you, personally, happy. Because now that I have commenced my return, I want to not be the only one who left and then came back. sweatdrop Also I think it would do him some good. As it will do ME good to be here again.

Update 1/18:
Finally put in the updated duels info Mahayr sent me days and days ago. Lured the spike-footed goat-creature into my journal using a tin can as bait, where I will keep him until I can think of a way to bring him back in here without stretching the page horribly. I voted for the last option in the poll, though really several could be true of me. ninja Though not the children one. I am still too irresponsible to make any kind of a good mom! xd

Fighting continued on a token basis,
and the dead did not complain.

Welcome to The Colosseum: Dueling Grounds.
For rules and announcements, go to The Colosseum: Main Thread.
Like the windswept main street of a Wild West town at high noon, like the sandy pits of a Roman circus...or, if you're feeling really vicious, like a two-person poetry slam, this is the place where poetic duelists come to duke it out.

(Yes, okay, we have been posting other things such as responses to critiques, news/updates/exasperated demands related to duels...but we should be careful not to be too chatty in here. Duel poems, Enguardes, and judgment posts should still be the bulk of what goes on here. Other things are tolerated but frowned on.)

If you have a question about or problem with your duel, PM LongTimeListener, the judge(s) you've hired, or any other judge if you see one online and are in a rush. If you have a suggestion for the game or a useful link, please bring it to the main thread!
Thank you, and good fortune in battle!
