alright. I've only done flash fiction.. twice. here goes.

title : Recurring Dream
drabble: That dream again. Even after ten years, still wakes me up, crying. It was a flash of memories with Natalie. Of stroking her long raven curls before our movie date. Of her dark tresses, flying so gently through the air as she turned to me, smiling from therented sign asking "marry me?" Of the silky coolness against my skin as we slept in a lovers embrace. Always ruined, by seeing her hair billow out and cover her face like a veil as she fell. Of catching only those beautiful, dark strands, and then her slipping away, breaking my heart.

Word count. 97

drabble:

It was horrifying. Disgusting. That black mass that twisted about her, laid heavily on her shoulders, ruined her perfection.

That’s why I did it. My lawyer says that’s not a valid reason. But what does he know anyway? I saw his girlfriend, with her hair like sunshine, he doesn’t understand.

Those long thin shadows that hung limply off her scalp, they corrupted her, made her ugly, made me hate her. There was only one possible outcome. My hands on her neck, her lips tinged with blue, her hair spreading like ink over calm waters. I never had any choice.
