the purpose of the drabble is brevity and to test the author's ability to
express meaningful ideas in an extremely confined space.


the way this contest will work is:

+ I will give you one prompt to write about each round.

+ the person who interpreted the prompt best will win the prize.

+ a new round will start and a new prompt will be given.

THE PROMPT FOR ROUND NINE IS: BLACK HAIR.

+ your drabble must be exactly 100 words or it will be disqualified.

+ you do not have to use the prompt in the drabble but it must be written about the prompt.

+ you may interpret it however you like. however, your drabble must use the prompt as a central theme.

+ no fanfiction or entries for other contests.



SOME GENERAL GUIDELINES:

+ try and use proper grammar and punctuation. some concessions can be made, such as using bauhaus style writing for effect, or region specific syntax/dialogue, but spelling errors are unacceptable.

+ the idea of a drabble is to cram as much information as possible into a small space. imagery! adjectives! symbols!

+ telling abstract ideas work better than trying to tell a story.
