Yup, that will work too. I think I will take out the 'famous' bit, actually. It's not really important to the point of the challenge.

Perfect, thanks!

Dropping by to say that I'm working on things, but no complete sections yet. It's just 5.1, the History-Past section... oh gosh, so many lists! Get done with one list, and there's another one waiting to be made! I go back to the last Language section, but I left that one on a list too! I got all listed-out and had to take a break. I'm down to two lists in 5.1, the one to finish off in Language, and then other parts of History filling out. Bleh, I'd say that I feel listless, but that's exactly the opposite of this list treading.

Maybe the old tradition of 'make stuff blow up' is necessary...

Romance for February, huh?
I'd certainly love to try to finish, though I know I'm late to the game. Just one question, what's the deadline for all this?
I know I haven't even touched my thread for this contest in about a a half year. But I have been doing the contest. I took this on as like a little way to get my books setting and history into a way that I could flip through a notebook and go, oh that's what happen in 1894, or something of that nature. So soon here I'll start putting what I have written into my thread if it is ok that I still do this contest.

@WhenTheDay-MetTheNight1: There's no deadline so far. Nobody's even gotten halfway done!

Finally, an update on Radia-17 is done! I have the first two sections of History done and Language finished off. Once you get past all those lists, History runs much smoother.

EDIT: A couple of hours later and the History section is fully done! Yay!
I can tell you what I am going to be doing in my free time!

Thanks for showing me this Rotsab!
Hey guys, I was going through and cleaning out folders on my computer and stumbled upon a resource I thought might prove useful to anyone working on a language.

As you guys probably know, Avatar (the movie) did a lot of world building and in the process created their own language. If you do a search on google about the Na'vi language, there is a website as well as multiple PDFs discussing it. I'm pretty sure you'll also get forums which discuss it and whatnot.

If you're struggling with the process of making your own language, not sure how to make it different enough while still cohesive and understandable, this might help.

As Ysavvryl said, there's no deadline. You can join whenever you want and you have forever to finish. The challenge is in finishing, period.

sweatdrop There are some very tedious section in this challenge for sure. I could never go through it all in order myself.

Everything should be updated to here now. You're almost halfway done Ysavvryl!

And the month is halfway over! Better start working on that mini contest soon if you plan to submit!
Yay, I'm so excited to say I've started!!! IT HAS BEGUN!!!

Name: WheelOfDawn
World Name: [EDIT: Continent Name] Conterra
Thread Link: Whee!

REGARDING MY EDIT:
This world I have created is a world in which the inhabitants are all part of the same continent, surrounded by ocean. They have not gotten around to discovering anything else yet, and all attempts so far have proven to be in vain. As such, they have no knowledge of any other land around them. Maybe there are other continents, or maybe Conterra is the only one. Who knows? To make up for this, I will go more in depth in some of the geography questions as I noticed one asked to divide continents into regions, so I will take my countries and divide them into provinces/states or something. I hope this will be satisfactory!

I hope it's ok that I'm focusing on one piece of one continent. There are too many monsters around for the people there to travel to the rest of the world, so other than global winds and ocean currents, it's pretty much self contained. (Basically, I want to worldbuild a medium size area really well, but give myself some space to expand later.)

Radia-17 is making more progress, as Menagerie is fully done, with Habitation-Homes and Habitation-Towns also complete. I don't think Habitation will take much more, even though the City section is kind of long. The city I picked is one I know quite well.

Yay for new people! Make yourself dedicated and get some good progress in!
Just wanted to say thank you so much for all these prompts! I won't be doing them online, but they'll be incredibly helpful in my future writing endeavors, I'm sure of it.
Like Rose Demon Axel, I am definitely in the same boat and going to be applying this to my story that I am planning to write.

I had this plan of making a lot of the characters and races separate, but... oh my dear, this is just wonderful. I had planned to use my binder one way and just do general stuff, but... I have a feeling I am probably going to sort it in the way you have it. (Save putting maps and outlines that I make somewhere else.)

But kudos to you for such a great wealth of prompts!
*looks around* >.>

Shiii--- I have to work on this thing again >.<'
I shouldn't forget something so important

EDIT: is it possible to start with a second world?? The ideas for Kyclinos have faded... as have the stories >.<
