CONTEST IS OPEN AGAIN.
THOSE WHO ENTERED IN THE ORIGINAL CONTEST CAN BOTH ENTER AND WIN
CONTEST OPEN FOR ANOTHER MONTH UNTIL 15TH JUNE

Welcome to LoperDoper's Something For Everybody writing contest!

The Something for Everybody writing contest aims to provide, well, Something for Everybody. It's a three category contest

You can enter with Prose, Poetry, Script or Comic, which each Category will specify. One winner shall receive 30k plus a currently unannounced animal companion toy.

How To Enter
You can enter by posting in the thread, PM'ing me, Google Docs link, and email in certain circumstances.
All entries should have a title saying these things (Have this as a subject title on PM/email):
Username - Category # - Format - Title (optional)
So if I was entering something myself the entry would read
LoperDoper - Category One - Prose

RULES and Information
1. Entries must be of reasonable length. If you believe you can ace a category prompt with 50 words, go ahead. Similiarily, if you think you require 145,000 words to cover a category prompt, then knock yourself out.
2. Entries need to be coherent, of decent grammar, and of good spelling. I'm a native English speaker, but I won't be unreasonably harsh on a misspelt word or two, however if the whole thing is written LyKe DiS <3333, I may have to refuse your entry.
3. The contest shall close on 15th June. If the post stamp doesn't say 15th June (or before), I'm not accepting it. All times appear to me in GMT. If I don't recieve enough entries, the competition shall continue for another month.
4.A winner shall be chosen out of the entrants to the three categories. They shall recieve 30k plus an unannounced animal companion toy. Any special mentions shall recieve a Heart Shaped Box of Sweets plus a little extra prize if I deem it suitable.
5. If a Category calls for Poetry, I shall also accept Lyrics.
6. I would not like to see romance. A peck on the cheek and a hug is fine, but romance mostly makes me squirm.
7. You can enter every category once, and one category (of your choice) twice. However you can only recieve a special mention/win once.
8. Once the competition is over, I shall give feedback to those who ask for it via PM. All others shall receive small judging notes in white below their names.
9. People who entered into the original competition (with nine categories) can enter again. Different prompts, different contest *shrugs*

ENTERING A COMIC
I understand that Comics take time to plan, draw, colour etc.
Because of this I will accept three "stages" of comics
1. A beautifully coloured, shaded and complete comic.
2. A mapped-out and generally sketched out pages. So I want to be able to see the circles that shall become people, and the speech bubbles, and where on a page they would lie.
2. A mapped-out and description on the boxes. So I want to see the boxes as they would appear on a page, with a text description of what would be seen in each box (Are they called frames?)

Scroll down the page to see the Categories, and enter away!

Free Choice

When the competition returns for another month, the Free Choice Category shall no longer be running.

I shall, however, leave the critique of every entry up for the next week, so each entrant has a chance to read theirs.

Chinadoll-Chan - Domesticated Judging notes: Easy to understand, good. I get it's about average family life, the world ending and us all knowing it? I can see why you've put capitalisation randomly, however I don't really like it (nothing major, and it reads fine). You also seem quite reluctant to allow half-rhymes to happen (I can't help but think "Secrets Shared/No one cared" would read better if it were "cares" ) and the line "Written down by little bit" seems slightly strange - did you mean to get at "down bit by bit"? Reading via internal monologue, I couldn't get into a good pattern, however I can see rhythm forming. It was just a bit short, really. Despite this negative-ness, it was a good poem and enjoyable to read. I'd give it 87/100.
Yutora - Ego PM critique. Score of 91/100
Best Blueberry - Heaven is Gold Judging notes: Firstly, I found it close to impossible to get a good rhythm in my head without good spacing. Notice how other poems are split into stanzas? Yeah, because yours doesn't have this, I couldn't get the poem, and found it hard to stay interested. Your rhyming pattern is also peculiar - I see you were going for the two-line thing (it has a name, I know it, however you were very free with the half-rhyming idea in some places, which contrasted with the simpler rhymes in other places. The "sunlight"/"moonlight" lines were quite nice - it's a shame there wasn't more of that repetition. As for what it was about, gleaning from the title, it's about death? Someone looking back on their life maybe? I'm not sure, but I think it would have been easier to see if you'd formatted it better. I think I'll score it 80/100

Inadvertant Angel - Endorphin: Hour of Dawn Judging notes: Reading the first few lines, all I could think was "purple prose". As I read on, I understand why you've got it all to set the mood, but as it's the first chapter, I could see how it would put a reader off. You mention David Gilmore. Is he a character or a member of Pink Floyd (or both, if you're daring)? I assume it's the former, but you can never be too sure.
So, protagonist has killed other people in a bloodbath frenzy, and in doing so he's become a saint? Going back to my point of purple prose, your action has been lost under a wave of description.
Is it a sci-fi/fantasy type, with Saints and such? If so, it's definitely a fresh look at things - Saints are supposed to be loving creatures and you've just had hero slain what sounds like innocent victims.
A score of 85/100.

It's a script. I want you to write a script that could be used for a play, or video, that would relate to the prompt.
In the rules, it does say the first five categories have a 5k prize each for one winner, and are free to join.
You need to write enough to cover the prompt listed in the category.
This thread should be public once the moderators moved it, I've already requested for it to be moved.
You don't need to PM me to say you're joining. Just PM me/post in the thread with your entry.
EDIT: I upped the prize money to 10k for the first five categories, I was being too tight.
Who will be judging?
