Title: The Gated Fawn
Entry:

We begin our story as you see..
With seven steps of mystery…
A gated world of mystery and gore...
Hundreds of memories and people in store.

There is no way out…
There is only a way in…
So there is no reason to scout..
What is about to begin.

Many people enter and disappear it’s true…
But how people know this, I never knew…
I just remember that day I stumbled upon…
A single white gate while following a fawn.

The young doe was lean and lank…
And my curiosity couldn’t be fed…
So I had to follow a little over a flank…
Even if I was told not to deep in my head.

I couldn’t help but to be drawn away…
Following my gaze to the white gate that day…
There was a single white knob that beckoned me…
Calling to enter its depths just to see.

“Could it really be true,
“These rumors that follow…
“Would true hell ensue,
“If I entered that hallow?”

My hand raised to touch its skin,
My thoughts far away from their kin…
Could I really touch it this time?
Would life allow me such a crime?

Think of all the stories once told…
Of how people sought out this divine…
How can I ever be so bold...
To touch this as if it were mine?

The gate was cold and wet…
So much fear for no threat…
But what was that sound?
A ghost is what my gaze found…

“Hello?” I asked quietly…
She looked hurt, “How could you?”
I replied to effortlessly.
“Touch a gate I didn’t go through?”

Her head shook as tears began to fall…
From her dead eyes, blood and all…
I looked back down at my hand,
As it faded in the wind like sand.

“What is happening to me?”
I screamed at her begging.
“Now, you’ll never be set free.”
The way she smiled was upsetting.

I felt myself pull apart and drift,
Closing the distance of our rift.
“I want to live, only three more…
“Misty, please go back to the store.”

Store? What did she mean?
Was she shopping for people to eat?
The mystery behind it was finally seen…
The fawn turned around for another meet…

How could I have been so jaded?
The fawn acted as if a droid…
“How could yo—“ My body faded.
Deep darkness and only void.
