Unfortunately, at this point in time, the NaNo site is down for maintenance. I'll be posting my entrant information as soon as it gets back online.

Have you ever participated in NaNo before? If so, what has your experience been like?
Yes, this will be my third year participating. The first year was hectic, because I joined in the middle of November, but last year was more relaxed, since I was prepared for what I was getting into. I have a feeling this year will be a bit rough, since it's October and I still don't know what I'm going to write. x_x

I'm good, thanks. I'm enjoying school very much (at least for now) and am trying hard to balance schoolwork, school activities, and outside activities. And of course, I'm looking forward to NaNo. =D

Ah, I can understand the whole balancing thing. It does get somewhat hard if you have a lot of things and they still haven't agreed to the petition to lengthen the number of hours in the day. xD Ohh, yes, I can't wait as well. My friend thinks I'm high because I'm so excited, haha.

They haven't done that yet? Drats. xD Yeah, I'm sure that by the time NaNo actually does roll around, I'll crash from the excitement. I'm glad it starts on a Sunday this year - a good way to start off with a bang and get a good chunk of writing done.

Yeah, very true although it might be hard since I go to church and thus have to wake up early in the morning...oh well! I'm still starting come midnight. At least it's still on a weekend. It's always a good omen to start on a weekend...at least, with NaNo. ^^

Starting on a weekend is excellent for NaNo! Last year we also had five weekends, which accounted for a burst in word counts. It'll be interesting to see how things turn out this year.

Yeah, last year was awesome and it's going to be the same, if not possibly better this year. Well, I'm hoping, at least. ^^

I used to think I was a morning person, but now I suppose I'm an afternoon person. It could just be that I've been so sleep-deprived lately that I naturally wake up at school...haha...
Hopefully this weekend I can catch up on some much needed sleep. ^^

I hope so, too. It would be a shame to get so excited for something and then not finish it. );

I'm just going to jump in with some conversational material, because I'm new to this thread this year and I have nothing better to do. :3

I just keep seeing all these great banners and covers and stuff and I really want to get one, and I could find someone to make one for me even though I suck with graphics, only I can't think of what to put on it. *sigh* Does anyone know what kind of cover you make for a story about the crew of a gigantic spaceship when you haven't actually designed the spaceship yet?

@Elisabeth; How about just pictures of the cosmos? There are some really beautiful ones out there. Or maybe images from people working on military submarines/or in space craft since that might have the same look as inside a giant spaceship.

I've been using gettyimages.com to find all my stock photos - and I often then get plot ideas from random photos I stumble across, so making banners can sometimes we doubly productive whee

I don't need plot ideas, haha. I think my muse would be offended if I tried to use anything but her as an idea generator.

I suppose space would work in a pinch... maybe if I plot a little more something will come up that would work as a symbol or something.
