I think you are, Euphoric. Because I don't think a lot of nano winners have managed to wrap up their novel in only 50k words.
Ghost- Definately... :d
(Whoops.... Sorry.. Nuclear O.o Teddy o.O Bear's Mule here...)

Alright, we have already talked about how excited we all are. But what about nerves? Is there
anything about the month that you are dreading? Are you worried about time restraints, or do
you already have it all figured out?

I'm nervous because I'm having to juggle two plays while this is going on, as well as general schoolwork and family. @_@ I have major roles in both plays, so it's like: AHHH no time to write!
Ah alright, I was thinking about it, the more I think about my plot and characters, the more it looks like it's going to be more than 50k words.
Am I just dumb, or has anyone else not noticed the quick reply option until now?
I noticed it yesterday... when someone told me about it. lol. I noticed that the reply button was different, but I didn't know about the feature. Haha. I love it though. biggrin
Euphoric Ghost
oh yeah, what if you write 50k but your story is not finished, are you still considered a nanowrimo winner?
You're still a winner according to NaNo, and you are still allowed to keep writing and add to your wordcount until the 30th. You're also allowed to keep writing AFTER that, but not add to your count.
Yeah, I just noticed the quick reply button as well...

In regards to shooting for more than 50k...I want to try. But, I'm scared that I might not be able to make it. Still, I'm shooting for 75k.
And yeah, you'd still be considered a winner if you haven't finished your story, but you managed to get 50k. I hope so, at least. I didn't finish my story last year until January, haha.

Ah to this weeks question. I'm afraid that I might lose interest or flop my story at the third act. Along with the fear I won't have enough paper! sweatdrop gonk

Moya: My plan may sound like a good idea, but who knows if I'll ever make it work. XP I'm almost as shy on the internet as I am in real life. I don't even have a website up yet, and I talk in a few places on Gaia, but I have yet to master posting on stranger's blogs or networking or anything like that... >_> *fail* Social anxiety sucks. D=

I did hear that about Scholastic. It's terrible. And they're trying to get around it with "Hey, we published the book. People can hunt it down if they want. We just didn't offer it directly in a place where kids might buy it." rolleyes

I probably won't post much of my novel in November. If it turns out halfway decent and I keep working on it, I may post during December. But the novel will have a somewhat strange structure, not entirely A-B-C linear, and trying to make an outline has been stressing me out. Then when I imagine the pressure of needing to post finished chapters while writing... it was just too much. This way I can hop around, leave pieces unfinished if I need to, and not be held back by it.

Are you part of the Nanoguild? I have a thread up in there with a vague idea of what my novel's about. Basically it's a reclusive girl and the strange world she's created around her. So part of it is semi-serious, a battle with depression and medication and such. Then another side is what her imagination makes, almost to the point of being lost in another world. I'm kinda blurring the boundaries so whether it's in her imagination or not, it's treated as real. I dunno. That sounds confusing. Now you can see why I'm stressed. XD

That the play is the tragedy, "Man,"
And its hero the Conqueror Worm.
I'm starting to flesh out my plot!
Contemporary fantasy. Set in one small suburban town and maybe one or two other planes of existence. Impending doom is coming to destroy the worlds... lol. It involves the main character working with others in his world and others to save existence itself... yeah... XD. No fantasy creatures, per se, only magic.
Moya - It wasn't too stressful. We just sat down and left a room like twenty times over. :]

And eeee, four days! Yay! I'm so excited!

To be frank, I haven't given NaNo much thought. Mom's been very busy training me to become a housewife at the moment with the sewing and the cooking. >.> But I have things figured out, more or less. I'd just write. And write. And write. Like mad. Especially when I go back to uni on the 7th, and I have that one-week gap where I need to sit there and wait for the semester starts on the 15th. I'd probably fill all that with endless writing, because I'd have nothing else to do. The thing I worry most is if I suddenly lose the urge to write. That would be awful.

Spork: Your avi's lookin' hot!

Flea: Aww, you have social anxiety and I have no internet friends! Though I can't see how mine is too bad; I have real life friends to more than make up for that. Social networking on the internet is tricky; you're either loved or ignored or hated. At least that's what it seems like. Plus there's the fact that Normal person + anonymity + audience = complete dickwad. That doesn't help. XD
