Moya: My plan may sound like a good idea, but who knows if I'll ever make it work. XP I'm almost as shy on the internet as I am in real life. I don't even have a website up yet, and I talk in a few places on Gaia, but I have yet to master posting on stranger's blogs or networking or anything like that... >_> *fail* Social anxiety sucks. D=
I did hear that about Scholastic. It's terrible. And they're trying to get around it with "Hey, we published the book. People can hunt it down if they want. We just didn't offer it directly in a place where kids might buy it." rolleyes
I probably won't post much of my novel in November. If it turns out halfway decent and I keep working on it, I may post during December. But the novel will have a somewhat strange structure, not entirely A-B-C linear, and trying to make an outline has been stressing me out. Then when I imagine the pressure of needing to post finished chapters while writing... it was just too much. This way I can hop around, leave pieces unfinished if I need to, and not be held back by it.
Are you part of the Nanoguild? I have a thread up in there with a vague idea of what my novel's about. Basically it's a reclusive girl and the strange world she's created around her. So part of it is semi-serious, a battle with depression and medication and such. Then another side is what her imagination makes, almost to the point of being lost in another world. I'm kinda blurring the boundaries so whether it's in her imagination or not, it's treated as real. I dunno. That sounds confusing. Now you can see why I'm stressed. XD
That the play is the tragedy, "Man,"
And its hero the Conqueror Worm.
