Introduction
Hello and welcome to my new writing contest. OMG, yes, un autre!

This one will be prompted, like many of mine. More details will be below. It will also go in rounds, but will have an all-around option, too. This is explained in more detail below, so don't worry if you're confused.

CLOSED FOR JUDGING
The fifth and final deadline will be: Friday, February 22nd, 2008, 11:59pmEST
The fourth deadline will be: Friday, February 8th, 2008, 11:59pmEST.

General Rules

• Be nice to your fellow contestants.
  
• Follow Gaia ToS.
  
• No plagairizing.
  
• Original fiction only. This means no poetry and no fanfiction.
  
• Do not PM me unless there is an emergency.
  
• One entry per person per round.

Round Details

• The first four rounds will have an image, a quote, and a song to use as a prompt. The fifth round will use a song and its music video.
  
• At least one prompt must be used in the story.
  
• I encourage you to change details such as gender in the prompts.
  
• Keep your entries at 6,000 words or less.
  
• Post your entries in the thread including the form below.
  
• Double-space between your paragraphs.

Judging
Gotta get through the judging before you can get a prize. So here's my judging rubric.

• Quality of Entry - 25 points - How well did you use the prompt in your entry?
  
• Adherence to the Rules - 10 points - Did you fill out the form correctly? Did you fill in all the fields on the form? All or nothing.
  
• Grammar and Mechanics - 20 points total
  
  • Punctuation - 5 points - How good was your punctuation? 5 points was perfect punctuation.
    
  • Capitalization - 5 points - I have noticed that a lot of people in the Writer's Forums have problems with capitalization, especially after dialog. 5 points was perfect capitalization.
    
  • Grammar - 5 points - How good was your grammar? 5 points was flawless.
    
  • Spelling - 5 points - How good was your spelling? Microsoft Word has spell check for a reason, and even if you don't have a spell checker, you should at least have looked over your entry. 5 points was perfect.
• Plot - 10 points - The plot is what the story builds on. If your story lacked a plot, it lacked an interest factor.
  
• Interest - 10 points - This is simply a scale of how interested in your story that you had me. Was it interesting, is basically what this is.
  
• Total - 75 points

I will be the only judge. In the event of a tie, I will have a friend help me.

Prizes
First prize for each round: 10,000g
First prize for the overall winner: 50,000g

When you enter, you are eligible for the prize for that category. If you choose to enter every round, you are also eligible for the overall prize. Those who enter all five rounds will have their scores averaged together, and the one with the highest average will receive the prize.

I was wondering about that myself.

And The Used? Yay! Bert McCookies! I actually am not a fan of The Used. But its the prompt that catches my imagination the most.

I'm not a big fan of the Used. I only know the other song...Crap, I forget the title.
"All That I've Got". That's it.
"The Bird and the Worm" was on an episode of Moonlight, and I loved the song and the scene, and so here it is. The scene was amazing, and I honestly don't know why.
