Hello and welcome. Once again I have a task for you! This time around I have a few different mysteries for you to solve. Whoever can come up with the most creative and well though out end to one of my unsolved mysteries will have a chance at the grand prize!

Theme

Okay, so if any of you have ever entered one of my contests then you know that I rarely give you prompts to work with. However, a lot of people have been telling me that they want prompts so, being the awesome people pleaser I am, I made some prompts for you. Love them and their simplicity!

In this story you will follow a unsolved case. Your story will be in either the detective/cop/good guy's point of view (POV) or the criminal/bad guy's POV (it does not have to be in first person. I just want you to follow one of them). You are expected to be as creative as possible with these prompts as they are not much.They are vague and alone they are nothing, simply the case file. But, hopefully, if they are worded correctly they'll push you in the right direction.

A few must haves before you pick a case:
- You must solve the case.
- Your criminal must spend some time in jail.
- Your criminal must have a motive no matter how ridiculous or serious it may be.
- I want your cop to feel sympathy for your criminal at one point in your story. It could be because of a lie, or it could be genuine sympathy. It does not have to last more then a couple of scenes but it should appear in your story.
- Someone has to die, rather they are important to the plot or not I want to see read about a dead body.
- Your story must end. No cliffhangers, no "it's part of a longer story". I want an ending, even if you have to split your story into chapters or make it super long, give it an ending.

Case One: Phantom Thief Apparently someone has a thing for shinny and expensive objects. Every museum, jewelry store, and bank has been robbed in a three town radius and no one is able to find the mastermind behind it. The security cameras always seem to be looking the wrong way or they are out of focus. This criminal is worst then Big-foot and for the past five years the case has been unsolved and recently closed. Wanted Alive.

Case Two: Cereal Killer At first it was anyone who wore the color green. Then it was anyone who wore a pony tail. For a while it was only people who owned Parrots, the parrots were killed as well. No one has been able to find the person killing all of these random people. When the killer seemed to stop killing the case was deemed cold and shelved. Wanted Alive.

Case Three: The Family Affair Records show that these robbers always traveled as a family. There were believed to be two teenagers and a young child traveling with two adults believed to be their parents. They were notorious for robbing liquor stores. It wasn't until they began robbing banks did they become a national threat. They were never identified nor were they ever caught. The only identifiable information on record was that one of the teenagers had their ear shot off in a shootout with the police and the adult male was missing his right ring finger. Wanted Alive.

Case Four: The Impossible One event ten years ago will forever go down in history as the most unusual and the most tragic case in history. There was plenty of evidence, human fingerprints and an unknown animal's prints, video, human hair, and unknown animal hair; the only person who matched the human portion of the evidence has disappeared and has never been found. The entire town was slaughtered. The cameras caught the face of the killer and the huge beast that followed the person as the town they once lived in was brutality murdered his/her own hands. The beast, though, was the strangest part of the case fore, had it not been for the monster the person could have never murdered the entire town. The video even showed the beast eating some of the people it kill and protecting it's master from the poor brave souls who tried to fight. No one escaped the massacre and it took days for the police to notice the town. The case has yet to come to a close as the suspect is the most wanted person in the country. Wanted dead or alive.

Case Five: What Just Happened? This is a free write. So long as you follow my guidelines you can write about any crime themed story you can come up with.

Let's Be Friends

* I love romance, put some in your story and I’ll like it more.
* I also love conflict and violence
* Horror and gore. BUT, don't try to make this a horror story. They don't scare me and when the entire story revolves around horror it becomes uninteresting.
* Reality, even in fantasy, should be there.
* Writers who write like writers. Good grammar and spell checkers are your friend.
* I prefer there to be an extra space between your paragraphs.
* Random is good. But when things are out of place it becomes bad. So, have lots of plot twist but make them actually go with the plot.
* Diverse your characters. This goes for both human race and species.
* I love animals

* Bestiality. No.
* Don't let your character become a cliche or a Mary Sure or a Gary Stu.
* No walls of text please. Write like a writer and read a book while you’re at it.
* No fanfics/bandfics please (a fanfic may be possible if you talk to me about it first).

Judging

I am the one and only, again. I will just give you a little layout of what I will be judging you on.

Direction - Did you follow my requirements and rules?

Dialogue - Is there a lot? Does it fit the characters personality? Dose it help tell the story?

Plot – Does it make sense? Does it capture the reader? Are there plot twist?

Spelling & Grammar – Nobodies perfect but is it comprehensible? Does it look like you went back and fixed something?

Enjoyment – How much I liked the story overall. This is what gives you the most points, because regardless of how well you write if I have to force myself to read it (to the point of were I have to mute my TV and turn my MP3 off to concentrate. It’s happened before) then you will not receive a high grade. You can check the past winners to get an idea of what I like or run your idea by me before you get started. That is fine.

Descriptions – Did you paint a picture in my head?

Creativity – Make me go, “huh”? Then make the story make since again, it’s fun and perfectly okay to be unique/weird!

Bonus – You will get bonus points by putting my discreet hints (the hints are in my rules and you may notice some things if you pay attention to my thread conversations) in your stories. You’ll also get bonus points for exceptional writing and if you happen to excel at one of the things I’m grading you on then you get a bonus point. To be fair I will limit the bonus points to two per person.
For everything you add (for bonus points) your grade goes up one letter. So, you have the chance to raise your grade two letters.

Since I like letter grades everyone will receive a letter between A+ and D- because I feel that no one deserves an F.

It Was Like That When I Found It AKA That long a** story I've been working on since my first contest. It's Done . . . I just need to edit it. As you can see I have the first half posted on my fictionpress account, I need the rest up. DONE!!

Holloween Thing, it's for a contest. I'm still trying to decide what to write about . . . hopefully I'll have something after I finish editing the above. I finished this in two hours . . .
