The Solarised Night
Ah, I see. For some strange reason, I thought we were talking about the same place. Hopefully they aren't too much longer with your reply. I hope they do put you in though! 60 days is a long wait

Oh, Narrator
is snazzy; the other feature...not so much.
lol My feature in Narrator is later in the year, but
Death Head Grin seems sort of stetchy but I'm not arguing with it if they want to feature me. I can boast about it even if it is minor
xd (Not that I care but) my family's perceptions of me have drastically changed since I announced I was to be featured. Before, people were just like "Oh, that seems like a bit of a waste of time," even though I made it clear that writing was never going to be a full time job. As soon as I started winning comps (no one needs to know that they are just forum based ones
ninja ) and got my pending ezine features, everyone has been treating me like some kind of respected author. I hate to break it to them, but I'm not all that!
Sorry, I should have been clearer.
Sixty days has been giving me migraines, no joke. xD
Ah, I'm sorry to hear that. You're right, though; bragging rights are bragging rights! It isn't like they're charging you money to publish it, so honestly, I don't see much harm. I can certainly identify with trying to get published to validate the opinion of friends and family members, though. I have an aunt that's a published novelist, on top of being a successful journalist, and having two children that are younger than me and journalists. My ego is constantly being slapped by a white salmon by those people.
(Though, I do find their 'journalistic integrity' a joke, and they back down from interesting controversy and trying to show both sides of the coin. I like to think that if I was a journalist I wouldn't use it as an excuse to start witch hunts. )

45 days is plenty for 90 entries: we managed Island Writer in 21, including formatting time, a two-week reading period, and the copy-editing party where we decided what we wanted to change. Of course, that was a staff of four editors and an editorial assistant, and that was with me in charge, and everything runs better with me in charge.
The implication was that it was close to three times the normal amount of entries they recieved, though. I think they're just not use to that sort of flow. The main editor doesn't like reading long things (and by long, that's anything over 3000 words), so I sort of picture him sitting with his monocle and pipe in a big plush red chair, all, "Oh, am I to read that piece now? How entirely dull." And he would pronounce it like 'duel' because of a thick Canadian accent.

It is also the same kind of mentality that has Rotsy thinking you're some kind of Steven Hawing just because you're a physicist and know things we don't know.
Whatcha gunna do about that, Rots?

I don't know why you think I have his crazy idea of Wing. xD Thinking someone is a hard judge makes them Hawking, now?
I like asking questions just for general knowledge, to be honest. Or research, which is ridiculously hard to do on space. (Apparently NASA photoshops all of its space pictures. Instead of, y'know, investing in a colour camera.
Seriously, NASA? )
I do think Wing is very smart. I think you and PK are very smart too, though, for the record. I assume most people are smarter than me until they prove otherwise. xD
