wow these are great tips i think i may go out and buy the writers market book ^.^ I hope to get my work published at the moment i am thinking of trying to get a part of my work or a shortstory in a magazine. I mostly do fantasy (werewolves and vampires a key part in alot) and romance stories. Does anyone know any magazines that might work?( In the USA and I live in VT if that makes any difference . . .)

Does anyone know how much an average royalty check would be? I know writers don't get paid much at all, but so many websites say different things about the salary, I don't know what to believe stressed
