A pretty girl is like a violent crime
If you do it wrong you could do time
But if you do it right it is sublime

Favorite quotes from what?
Here's one I remember from a particularly amusing time in the WF's not-too-distant past...

"Shaky: SIC!"

Or something like that. You had to be there. Really. stare

Oh, and another one-- "YAAAY COLON!"
If you mean favourite quotes from books... I'm very partial to the Wizards' Rules from the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind, which very much apply to the real world as well. Seeing as I know the First Rule of by heart:

"Wizards' First Rule: People believe everything, because they either want it to be true, or fear it to be true."
rolleyes Pah! The Wizards' Rules were a good idea to start out with, but they just got worse and worse. There are, what... seven, eight of them now? And some of them are just silly. A waste of a good idea, if you ask me.
ummmm o i got one life is like a d**k when it get hard ******** it
Ahem. The "Wrong Forum Haiku"

Dude, are you some n00b?
Your thread shouldn't be in here.
Go post it elsewhere.
why shouldn't it be here???

quotes are a kind of writing!!
Dude.

Putting it that was, so is graffiti, and jotting down notes in class.

Writing involves telling a story, which quotes do not.

Go home.

Oh, I wouldn't argue that quotes had nothing to do with writing, I'd just much prefer that people used the thousand or so pre-existing quote threads, instead of starting new ones. wink

Which brings me to my favorite quote. xd

Rule #23. NO NEW QUOTE THREADS

If you really must have a quote thread, dig up one of the thousand or so already in the archives and post there.
No hard feelings though, tgas. *do do do do do* Gaian Post Sinking Spell!

I agree with you that quotes have something to do with writing, but I just figured that the way the word was being used in this thread had nothing to do with it's meaning. Well except for the one person who actually did quote a book.

I don't do hard feelings. ^_^ Generally, I'm a very mellow, very apathetic person. Unless people try to argue politics...but that's another story.

Her quotes...

I basically quoted you because your signature is awesome- Nightwish is a great band, but I like Romanticide better than Nemo.

Anyways, my quote:

It is good to have an end to journey towards,
but it is the journey that matters in the end.
