Welcome to Gaia! ::

I'm writing a screenplay, but I have no idea how i'm going to let my characters break into a building with high security and keep up with the fight scenes. (Hand to hand combat)

I also have problems with transitioning through my scenes. Can anyone help me with that?
If you're serious, watch National Treasure for ideas.
If not, make one of the female characters show some leg to the guards.
Remember: No matter how high their security is, you can always go through an air vent. And no, that's not cliche, at all!

Just sayin'. Ain't much security can't be fixed that way.

Surely you must infiltrate months in advance, you either have one of your own get a job in the building, or you tell the plan to some already disgruntled employee. But then again, you can't always trust someone new.

Haha! As soon as he said high security that's the first thing that popped into my mind. That and Catch That Kid. biggrin
One good way is to use computer hacking.

Period.

Get a large crime organization in on it, especially if the building in question is the turf of an incredibly major company and various crime organizations are already waging war on its existence.

That's how my protagonist is doing it.

You could always interview a security guard.
xd
Inside jobs always catch my attention when people are trying to rob and/or break into something. Have a character impersonate a guard or important person, walk in there like nothings wrong, then maybe just as he's about to let the group in -- if there is one -- he gets caught, and so begins the fight scenes.

Or watch some 007 flicks. There was one, I don't remember which, that he even forged an ID card to break into a building.
You can watch Oceans Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen, Fourteen, Fifteen, Sixteen... I dunno how many there are of them but I only saw the first two. They have some kick-a** ways of breaking into top security.

Yes, I was about to suggest that myself! biggrin
Read up on espionage tactics and stealth ops. for possibly the best info. I know, I'm a fun killer, but I'm just trying to be practical and helpful.

(Good authors would be Clancy. His Splinter Cell books and video games are actually quite well done. And then there's, dare I say it, 007. Ironically enough, I call it a GOOD source.)
I'd need to know the abilities of the characters~ ^_^ I had the idea that they could go through the front door since the quiet break in has been a bit overdone if you want to go all out you could have a rich thief breaking into the place from above the building or perhaps if you want to get your disguise on you could have them pretend to be a new employee~ oooor even the top guy that know one really knows so they won't really know the differance unless he is too nice to them~

Try reading Artemis Fowl books. They've got a few good high security break in scenes.

... Granted, they use a lot of fairy magic to do so, and not so much combat, but eh.

As for transitions, that's something we're not going to be able to help you out with here. Sorry. =(
