a good way to get inspiration is to read different books you could read a book about a dragon, then read a book about a boy who wants more in life and put those stories together. You could also take interesting dreams you have had and turn them into a story.

Most of my ideas just kind of hit me. But it is right after I wake when I get my good inspiration. I wake up and pretty much am like "Wow, I need to add this to my story." It doesn't usually come from my dreams, it just happens in the few minutes I take to convince myself it is time to get up. Wierd I know. lol sweatdrop
