I'd pronounce them as 'gate-en' and 'gate-ayne'.

My main character has changed names about...five times.
There was this girl I named Nina, and it was...perfect.
Then this girl from school brought [in school] about three books about a girl called 'Nina', and she is the main character, like the girl I called Nina. So I renamed my girl, because now it just didnt feel right. I've been looking for a perfect name ever since scream . gonk
