Welcome to Gaia! ::

I usually name characters first.. then build up who and what they are.

I haven't tried the method of building the character then naming them.

but yeah

my favorite name is Luna.
Hey, so I wanted people's opinoin on three suggestions I've gotten for my comic book. The first issue is done, I just need a title. In case you cared it's about a girl with bad luck who's best friend is a complete idiot, yet an enginering genuis and a demon constantly trying to kill her/steal her soul/annoy her in general. It's a comedy.

- ieso/a [Jesus's true name]
since all roman name always put 'us' on the male and 'a' on female. For example: petrus/petra, Julius/julia, marcus/marca, victorius/victoria, flabius/flabia, filius,filia.

in indonesian langguage, 'iesa' could be mean as 'esa' or 'the one'.
[that remind us of 'The One' from the matrix].

'Neo' is latin word for 'new'. go wiki heart
www.babynames.com Has great names for characters! I love some of the ones they have!
You know it's the strangest thing... But start talking in pig Latin. Seriously. Just random words. You will hear some things you like I bet. That's how I come up with some of my names. However this doesn't work for every character. This is because they all end in "a". Which messes it up.

So for others look at other words in other languages. That's what the Japanese do sometimes for their anime. They take an English word and turn it into a Japanese name. I see it all the time.

Languages to try, in my opinion, may be,

1.) Latin
2.) Japanese
3.) Greek
4.) Spanish
5.) Chinese

It goes on...

But yeah, nothing beats a name you think of on your own without help from someone though, you know? So try to be creative before you use someone else's idea. There is much more honor is coming up with something on your own.
i seem to use japanese names in my stories. but sometimes i use american or made up names.
I like "random elements from periodic table" for fantasy

Corhir = Cobalt, Rhodium, Iridium
this was SUPEr helpful! omg thanks!
