I'm in the same boat as you. I've got this story that I want to finish so that I can start on some short stories. I doubt I'll finish though, I tend to lack commitment.

@Stand Alone Origin: I know the feeling. I just finished school on Thursday (so aside from exams I'm actually all done now). The best feeling in the world is knowing that I never actually have to go back there again. I'll be going to university after the summer. Heck yeah. =P

Woohoo! This is perfect for the novel I'm working on. I'm wanting to get 20,000 words added to it (yikes!) by the 20th of August, and I can use all the infectious energy I can get. Despite having done (and won) NaNoWriMo, I see any word goal over 10,000 as hugely frightening.

Large goals frighten me too. I think I'll start with 10k, and if I write it I'll start another 10k goal (or more).
