People shouldn't pay attention to the grammar or spelling or pragraphs. Tha'ts only for school. Besides, it's the STORY that's important.

Nevermind the story, it's the CLOTHING that people care about. That and the weather...and how totally "hawt" that guy is.

Remember that people only read for wish-fulfillment fantasies. So only write stories where everything always works out perfectly for the MC.

You should also go out of your way to pair up your characters with one another. Nobody wants to read a story where everyone just goes their separate ways after the plot is finished. Don't be afraid to leave it to the last minute, people love it when romance comes out of nowhere in the last five pages.

Mary Sue tests are great. A lot of math went into figuring out how many tropes means c character is 'bad'. It's not like tropes can be written well or work with context.
