The best way to rule is with fear. Just kill your way to the top, and everyone will respect you and be subservient to you. Actual charisma is for losers who get usurped.

And every time a villain's lair is destroyed by a self-imposed detonator, He'll manage to build an equally strange one in another rediculously obscure country in the world; he has an unlimited real-estate from various dark, gloomy continents and unlimited resources to build there.

((Well, I wouldn't think so. But if they're supposed to be in a medieval world, then it's not that weird to get excited about them.

1)Printing presses haven't been invented yet nor have typewriters, meaning every book has to be made by hand.

2)Humans are just that, humans. This means only a limited number can be produced, making them rare

3) Rare things are valuable or precious. Flaws mean less if something is precious to begin with. Even a white diamond, of the lowest colour quality possible (Z) fetches a handsome price.

4)This can lead to books being status symbols. This means that a book might be near unreadable and yet still get a good price, if only because of certain rich fools wanting a prestigious display of books.

5) I would think books would be lighter and less awkwardly shaped than rocks and probably easier to get at.

So, it might not matter so much whether they're in good condition or not.))

And if your MC is a hacker, they must be able to hack into government files without repercussions. There also must be a good reason they're hacking, never a bad one.

If a book is needed for some reason, your characters can read. Forget the fact that they come from the lower classes, probably either learned to farm or steal things from an older sibling/parental figure who is in a simmilar situation, and never had the chance to become literate.
They can read.

Knowing how to read is genetic. If you can read, there's no word too complicated, no idea too strange, and no practice needed.

The entire course of the story your MC is constantly being beat up my the villain, but at the end of the story the MC gains sudden miraculous powers and can set the villain on fire just by looking at him wrong.

Remember, there is always a super-clear line between good and evil. There can be no one with conflicting views. The "anti-hero" doesn't exist. You're either super moral and have great intentions, or you're evil and want to take over the world. By the way, anyone who wants to take over the world doesn't need a good reason for it. Taking over the world just sounds SO evil that it's the perfect motivation for a villian!

Another thing, any character who just came from another country to the US, or is in another country, practices every single American social custom. Even if they've never been to America or have never been around Americans. Everyone in other countries behaves exactly like Americans do. Also, every Arab and Muslim woman MUST wear a headscarf or burqua. There is no such thing as one who doesn't.

Free will means nothing in the face of hair color.
