Dreams only have meaning if they occur in the beginning or middle of the story. There is no lesson to be learned or point to the dream that occurs at the end, which contained every bit of the previous story.

Speaking of dreams, under no conditions can ANY dreams in your story be utter nonsense. All dreams must either have some deep meaning and totally gives away the plot, a prophecy from the gods, or a nightmare, especially if said nightmare relates to the dreamers TRAGIC PAST. None of your characters can ever have dreams that are just weird! Neither can they have dreams where they are doing anything menial or something normal people would do! Also erotic/wet dreams are HIGHLY discouraged, unless the main character and his/her love interest have the same one at the same time. But only attempt if you're feeling daring. Also, The MC can't have dreams about doing people OTHER than the MC love interest. That counts as cheating.

When a female character is angry, it is always because of PMS.
However, that is the only mention you should ever make to the menstrual cycle, and it won't hinder the female character in any other way besides emotionally.

When writing fanfiction, remember that canon is more like guidelines and if you stuck AU in there somewhere, you can write whatever the hell you want, essentially making the characters your own but using an already established character's name and appearance to save you time.

And when women get angry, they get violent, and start getting out of line.

Unless they're awesome and what happened is justified, such as killing a guy by brutally beating him up because he was drunk and thought your skintight, skimpy outfit meant you were a hooker and offered you money for sex politely. That's not out of line at all.

But, if she does that, how is her love interest going to save her?

He just stops her from actually killing the guy. She can go all out and paralyze the poor sap horribly evil guy, but hell stop her form killing him. She must display her awesomeness by mutilating innocent people righteously punishing wrongdoers.

However, if there's a chance she'll actually get hurt, such as get a paperclip, she needs him to save her form such horrible injuries ever befalling her.

So is the god of Winter.

And decay

And the god of dispair/melencholy. And the god of War. And the god of Trickery. And the god of Storms.

In fact, let's jsut say that "god", in the pagan sense of the term, is synonymous for "Power Hungry Evil Spirt". That'll work. No one actually saw these 'gods' to be revered, or anything. They were just people who existed somewhere else and were not a part of anyone's life at all, except to make it worse...

With the exception of the God of Light and the Goddess of Healing. They are always good. And yes, Light must be male, Healing is always female.

On that note, the God of Darkness can be switched to the Goddess of Darkness to make you seem less sexist.

At the end of every river, there is a huge waterfall. Even if it's in a place that's geographically impossible.
Also, the characters always survive. I mean after all, falling from a 200 foot waterfall and into a lake below doesn't crush your bones or destroy organs.

A child had stepped off his land
And onto an earth of just soot and sand.
Breathing in dust and to no place, he ran.
That's how the child became the nowhere man.

It is also geographically possible for a river to cross a valley.

(It's the Nibenay valley)

On that note, the God/Goddess of Darkness is the sworn enemy/lover (or both) of the God/Goddess of Light. They can't just coexist peacefully or have a symbiotic relationship. They are ENEMIESSSS!!!!!1!11

All of the most horrible creatures are also night creatures. There's no such thing as an evil, ugly, horrible creature that lives and hunts during the day.

But you can't change the genders of the first two. God of healing? Goddess of light? Whoever heard of that?

Oh, and the moon's always female too.
