Yes.. Oh political correctness. It's always better to have one token minority character who doesn't do anything but be politically correct than to have an all majority cast... Everyone will love you. Kill him/her off as early a chance as possible so you don't have to write those annoying character development beyond "He was black" or "She was Asian."

Asia and Africa are countries.

And Russia is a continent.
Vampires should never have anything unattractive like mosquito beaks, and they should never spread malaria -- just herpes. biggrin

Having superpowers is bad and should make people angst. In fact, no one with powers should use them before angsting for at least a page.
Sorry for my earlier post. You should definitely NEVER RESEARCH!

Battology is god. Battology is god. Battology is god. Battology is god. Battology is god.

And people with powers always try to be heroes. Nobody wants to just use them for stupiding things like scarying their dog, or outsmarting their teachers. And if they do use it like that at first, they are presuaded to become a hero. And at the end of it, they never go back to being a normal person using their super powers for trivial things. They stay in the hero buisness.
It is sick and wrong to try and write any type of story without using the words "hidden pain."

Superheroing is always a business! Superheroes don't have to worry about money, they're superheroes! (always use exclamation points to show how awesome characters are!)
When writing a trilogy, alway remember: continuity is for whores... cheap ones.
confused What is battology?

((Needlessly repeating the same thing over and over again.
Needlessly repeating the same thing over and over again.
Needlessly repeating the same thing over and over again.))
Remember when describing a character use frequent pop culture references. Not only will looking like [insert celebrity name here] make your character seem far more hawt/badass, but your readers will see how original your character's appearance is. And the reader will never not know who your referencing to, because what loser doesn't know their pop culture.

(This works particularly well when writing Y.A. material.)
Ad pets. The more the merrier. This makes for great hijinks and will show how much your MC cares. Remember, taking care of another living being is not difficult whatsoever and can never go wrong.
