history sad how they got on earth and so on) Miyoko is an angel from heaven who leaves heaven because of her demon self, Kaori. Who appears just to make Miyoko a loner and unwanted. Miyoko, when she appears in earth she is a loner and doesn't really care about being one. Miyoko's biggest reason why she has left heaven is because of her/kaori killing a angel who was her best friend.

If your hero is Asian, they must be Japanese. Good god, whoever heard of a Korean or Vietnamese or Chinese hero? Those aren't cool! Because the Japanese are better than the rest of them!

Yeah, give the japanese all the good hand to hand martial arts even though the chinese invented so many more hand to hand combat techniques such as shaolin, kung fu and other things that sometimes were so incredibly powerful their own military had to shut the practice of those martial arts down!


PS: Asian cultures must be the only ones with martial arts! (Even though there were ones from europe, arab countries and other places as well)

remember: it's all about repeats. Heaven forbid your character actually learn from their mistakes(not like they'd make any) and ALWAYS have the character be perfect. Everyone seeks perfection from each other so give it to them. Make sure for their to be a fight scene every 5 words. It's not like characters, get sick, or hurt, or bored, or have LIVES right?

Your character must always have had a horrible past, be it with abusive parents or a hateful orphanage, they must be depressed, against happ-go-luckies and have a phuzzy animal to comfort them in their deepest times of woe. They must have a locket with pictures of their long lost parents inside. [evidently, the character finds its parents at the end of a tiresome journey with a silver fox cub and a miserable troll whose grumblings lighten the mood.]

The protagonist's girlfriend/love interest must be smart, pretty and quick thinking. She must get captured by the ennemy at one point.

Your hero is not black. Your hero can be Caucasian, Asian, or even non-specified, but if you make them black, it has to be a black-angst story. I mean, what story have you read with a black main character that ISN'T about black culture in some way? Black best friends are great, though. It's even better if they die trying to save the hero, 'cos then they become martyrs, and that show just how politically correct you are.

Oh of course, and never make them brown either. Who wants someone from India or the South Pacific in the story anyways? Oh and ALWAYS stay away from Arabs, unless you need some bad guys in which case add as many as you want, take the whole middle east if you like!

you can also have your character be discribed like someone form an anime or a really wird movie nowbody has herd of.
ex: Mioco-hyico-san had marvales shining LIPID blue hair and shining eyes that shone with the intelegence of Yoda (even better after this put a picture of yoda just so people could see your point

Your teenage main character with no political experience or social standing whatsoever will be perfectly capable of gathering discontented masses of people into a resistance group against an evil tyrant. Your character will then be able to lead all these people flawlessly to achieve a collective goal. No one will see your character as an overzealous child who's trying to do much more than he/she can handle. Because, of course, we all know that anyone under the age of twenty can lead an army...

Oh yes, definitely. Arabs aren't very creative when it comes to names you know which is probably their only upside, after all we all know that creativity is baaaad.

Every one of your characters should have a Quirk, preferably one that makes very little sense and is only inconvenient enough to provide comic relief. Extremely badass characters, especially trained warriors, all have some obscure phobia. Never mind that he's had a lifetime (15 years, give or take 3) of instruction; none of his training masters ever considered confronting your assassin's irrational, crippling (until he faints and someone drags him on a boat anyway) fear of large bodies of water!

Better yet, pick some personality quirks and throw them together. Don't bother trying to make them mesh or even have any bearing on each other. Obscure phobias rock.

As a reaction to fear, a heroine will faint or look slightly queasy. A villain will soil himself, cry, or hurl. The heroine absolutely cannot do anything that undignified, and will probably get in a tizzy when she loses consciousness and is tended to by the Designated Love Interest because it's SO IMPROPER!

Girls can't stand being exposed to blood. They've never seen so much in their lives. It must be "EW! BLOOD! GROSS!" and her Designated Love Interest must volunteer to shield her virgin eyes. Even if the girl in question is a healer and should have even more exposure to that kind of thing than usual... Because healers are squeamish, too.

Better yet, have her get captured every few scenes! Of course, the protagonist must dutifully come to her rescue every single time, rather than having her figure a way out herself, even if she is "smart and quick thinking." Oh, and make sure she gets tied up in a way that accentuates her bust. No, of course you won't offend just about every female reader you get. She looks "cute" like that. Really.

How come she has brown eyes? Everyone knows that brown eyes are normal and therefor boring and lame. She should have one purple eye and one red eye, correction one amethyst eye and one crimson eye, both of which shine.

It is a big NO NO to have a character that isnt:
a) an orphan
b) the last of their race
c) strikingly beautiful even though others might not see it
d) blessed with a hiddden mystical power that suddenly appears before they die and they manage to save everyone and the bad guy mysteriously dies.

Also if your character never ends up with the person of their dreams then you must burn your book.
