I haven't written anything for months for several reasons.
The main one is that I now have more of a social life than last year. I'm a bit of a loner at heart, and I find socialising difficult at times and I have to make a conscious effort to remain social. Last year I got miserable and lonely so I made a new years resolution to get a social life. It turned out to be easier than I thought, I've made heaps of friends, and as a result I just lost interest in writing.
I'm also at University as well, and my course is pretty full on, so I'm having trouble balancing everything out. I know that if I could just plan out my time better I would be fine, cause I waste so much time going on the internet and other things.
I've also lost interest in my novel, but I'm about two thirds into it, and I really want to finish a novel, something which I have never been able to do. I just want to start something new. Actually, writing this post has definitely inspired me to keep going.
Balancing has never been my talent either, I just don't get much sleep so I have all this time to do things. ( High five for 20 hour days...okay, the weekend they're the normal 16hr.)
Good Luck with the novel.
I really hope you finish.
You've changed your avi, I like it.
I think you should do the one that's really calling you to do it, regardless of difficulty.
I've still not had chance to start writing my new novel. gonk
I should be revising, and instead I can't focus. I'm on Gaia, on Facebook (I HATE Facebook, so what is wrong with me?), even on Twitter for God's sake. I just can't focus. I guess it doesn't help much that we don't know what we have to do for this exam, don't even know where to start revising, because nobody has told any of us. Bah. >_>
@PMS: I hate writing synopsis's, I never feel like I can get all the things that need to be gotten in a summery.l
We'd have to know more about the story yo help you with whether or not you should take out the vampire aspect but generally, it'd be a bad idea to remove that kind of aspect. May people who read vampire stories or stories that involve vampires read it for the vampire in the story.
And you shouldn't compare yourself to your friend.
Your writing is about your writing and not hers. Her improvement and yours are also two different things. But yeah, it's difficult to get people to read your stuff if you just don't know as many people, online or off.
If you're talking about gaia or any websites then you should do some critiquing first and then people will critque back.
I think I'm getting back into the swings of things. Went back to re-edit chapter two. These damn tense things mess me up. xp
Haha thanks. Gaia isn't usually the first place I'd go for a critique though.
