This is my second time doing Nano. I completely failed the first year but this year I swear to do it! Even if that mean's waking up early to get some writing in, write after school, write on free day's, write after I get home from practice and game's, and maybe even a little writing between homework! I'm also outlining my plot this year, and setting a goal of words every day.

I'm too straight to be lesbian. Sorry ladies

Help me?

It sounds like so much fun, but I just know I won't be able to do it; I have so much homework, and when I do have a smidgen of free time I'm so tired that all I want to do is lie on the floor staring listlessly at the ceiling. Dammit, I have to wait five whole years until I'm out of school and have enough time to even attempt this. emo

I have seven plots.
I'm trying to figure out which one I want.
I love them all too much.
What do?

It'll be my fifth year regardless, though.

Go for the one you like the least. That way if it turns out to be unreadable rubbish you've not wasted a plot you absolutely love. If it turns out to be great then yay.

I've never done this before, but holy Mother of Gaia, this sounds like awesomeness wrapped in pure gold with a diamond-encrusted bow on top!

I've had this weird idea for a while (no true theme as of yet--merely concept): Vampires are spirits, not actual physical beings, that are like psychic parasites that possess and feed off the minds of human victims. Now, during the day (still using the archetype of sunlight as a vampires worst enemy), the vampire lies dormant within the host but still speaks to the host (as they do share the same body); however, at night, the host's body transforms into the vampire's original form. That's when the host lies dormant as a mere voice within the vampire's mind while the vampire frolics around the city doing as he pleases.

It sounds like a role playing game, though, and there's no significant theme behind the plot yet, so I may just write it for entertainment value rather than a lesson to be learned. (I'll get into my serious stuff later.)

A nice take on it, I like.

Largely just a malcontent, but a pleasantly smelling one.

This is my first year! I'm fairly nervous, but mostly excited. I can't wait for November. (Or Halloween.) The novel I'm writing is one I've had ideas for for a long time, but I never got around to writing it...I wrote 240,000 words this summer, so I think I'll be able to meet my goal...then again, I've got a lot of homework plus a job. Wish me luck!

Hey! Listen up.

This will be my second year! Last year I did a spoof. This year, I'm debating between trying and writing a serious (as in not slash romance) novel or just working on my regular stories.

I've taken part two years, but I only won last year. It was awesome, my friends made me a celebration card and everything. Even my to-be French teacher signed it.

I really want to do it again this year, but I find it incredibly unlikely I'll get to finish. It's really the most unfortunate time. November is exam month. NCEA exams. Level one. Ew. I'll have to spend the first part of the month studying, the middle section doing exams, and the last like... four/five days I have free writing like 13k a day. DD: NOT LIKELY TO GET DONE.

I'm going to attempt to write little bits during the first part of the month to lessen stress a little, because I can't study all the time. Then write like a crazy person until the end of the month.

I hate you, exams. Damn you to hell.

A thread, a thread! =D

Hello all. Another NaNo vet here. Done it four years, won it three times with over 100k each time. This'll be my fifth year. Wow.

With moving out to go to university I don't know how much I'll be able to get done this year, especially since my course is a creative writing one and I'll probably be expected to write something decent... But I'll give it my best as always.

Also, I've no idea what to write this year. For the first three years I was working on a series of books, and when I started my new trilogy last year's NaNo ended up as a piss-take of that... This year I may try to finish that third novel in the trilogy, despite the fact that I didn't want to write any of them for NaNo. XP Ah well...
