If it makes you feel better, I have to do 3000 words today to catch up to the daily count. ^^
it's not so much if you break it down hourly.
If you have 4 hours of free time, and do 450 an hour, you get your daily 1800. 450 should take 15 minutes or so, 20 if you're painstaking about it. ^^

Yeah, I have to do like 3000+ words today too. sweatdrop I did start on the third, though, so I'm going at a pretty good clip to even be this far.

That's a good reason.
I was mostly just lazy. XD

LOL um this is really embarrassing, but for this certain part of my novel, I need to create a certain atmosphere or mood, so the music I'm listening to as I write is all like, addicting hip hop that I would normally never ever ever listen to. Don't tell anyone!

Does anybody here use Write or Die? I've found it's amazingly useful. Wrote 1k in a little over 20 minutes.

I bought the desktop version. It's the only reason I'm as far as I am.
Which is to say not far at all. 4k to catch up and I can't get into the writing mood.

I never used Write or Die before... I didn't like the idea of it... but I just used it, I guess it's the psychological pressure it puts on you that makes it work.

I find it's incredibly effective, but only when there's complete silence, really loud music, or nothing to distract me. I like to listen to musical songs, so the volume often changes drastically. If I keep it loud overall, I get yelled at. If it's quiet, I can hear the TV.
I have to either hide in my room or risk being yelled at to use it.

Still looking at 2k. Had more, but I decided the last scene would be wordier from another character's point of view.

Woo, they put up the word count widget thingies and I managed to get like 1000 words done today already - ok, so it's two hours till midnight but I only woke up at 3 PM or so and I ended up going to the grocery store for a while, so... Only about 2k to go before I hit today's goal and I left off in the middle of a good scene to write. whee

I don't like write or die. When I'm being forced to do something I have this tendency to not do it from sheer spite, and then it makes a loud noise. *whiny toddler*
