Well I'm here, anything you need help with?

Ever play FFX or read about it?

No. But I have played other games in the series though I know that doesn't count.

Can you help if I give you a summary of some stuff in the game and my crazy plot idea?

MAKE THE FLASHBACKS HAVE ONE EVEN THAT CONNECTS THEM.
.
And that makes sense how?? Not everyone was around during the times these two flashbacks took place

Sure I guess.

Important stuff:

There was this Big Bad monster that kept blowing up cities. So people called 'summoners' went to fight them, but the ended up sacrificing themselves only to reincarnate the Big Bad ten years later. This turned into a ritual for the world. If you die and are not 'sent' by a summoner, you more or less become a pms-ing zombie.

Yuna was a summoner, beat up Sin without dying, met this guy kinda created by the 'Gods' called fayth, and in the meantime killed the bad guy name Seymour.

As a kid, Seymour and his human mother were exiled to an island (strangely full of man-eating lizards), while his Guado (a race that watches over the gateway to the afterlife world called the farplane) father dealt with a civil war. Two years later, Seymour's mother commits suicide and becomes a Fayth to live in the happy afterlife. For some reason she blames Seymour for him feeling everyone will be happier dead than alive and not herself.

Seymour grows up, plans to become a summoner but doesn't, and eventually kills his father, inheriting his father's position as leader.

There is also another race called the Al Behd who make machines, which are forbidden to all other races. They're supposed to e good guy underdogs.

Need any more explanation?

Err, Well... Yes, but please don't try again. I understood none of that.

Exactly what is it you need help with? Does it require me to understand the story this work is based on or can I just help you with the story you have available? That would probably make more sense.
Well I love to write just about anything that is possible! blaugh I would love to learn some new tricks to writing! pirate
I don't care if I get flamed for this, but Gabriella Puratekuta is really starting to piss me off. She didn't come here asking for help; she came here requesting a plot. Not what this thread is for, but I am The Compendium and DarknessofHeavenandDreams are much nicer than I am.

Dammit. Last night I felt bad for being so rude in my earlier post. I actually came here to apologize to you. Then I saw the rest of your conversation.

Compendium and Darkness are saying: You have some OCs and flashbacks but no plot? Make one event that your characters were in and write flashbacks for all of them.
Gabriella is saying: That's stupid because there isn't an event everyone was in.

That's why you make an event. You asked for advice; someone gave you advice. Don't like it? Don't use it. But at least listen to it.

And the next time you ask for help: If you don't want to change the fragments you already have, tell us about them in more detail instead of bitching when we fail to read your mind.

Aw, damn.

Well, he's what I got so far:

Yuna's told someone's messing with time, so finds a way to go back in time and thinks Seymour's behind it because he was annoying and evil last time. So she just decides to ignore him, given that his last evil plans involved her, so this one must also.

This turns out to be a bad idea, and she has to go find him after he ran off because the real bad guys were trying to kill him.

She and her friends find him and someone else who time-traveled, and Yuna has to defend Seymour, who isn't doing too hot right now. This time around, her buddies never discovered he killed his father and only she knows because of time travel, and he hates him because he learned Yuna killed him in the 'correct' timeline.

I need a McGuffin after that.

If by 'McGuffin,' you mean an object that everyone wants to get, why not use whatever-it-is that's letting everyone time travel? This is Final Fantasy X, so you could make it some kind of special sphere.

I have another question. Why do the real bad guys want to kill Seymour in the first place? Even if he died, wouldn't he just stay behind as a ghost/Unsent? And why does Yuna have to defend him?

By 'McGuffin' I meant person/place/thing that gets on with the plot. My bad.

The people after Seymour want the farplane in the place Seymour's in charge of. If he's dead, they can easily take over with future tech. If he surrenders to them, less work for them and they can take over legally and save their ammo. Either way, their taking over--this whole 'other people from the future fighting back' thing wasn't expected though.

Okay, I think I understand. And I still think my idea with the time traveling sphere could work. A low-time sphere hunter steals it -- doesn't realize what it really is. And so the good guys and bad guys start looking everywhere for this hunter before he/she accidentally causes even more trouble to the timeline.

I think I can twist that. I was going to have Yuna be sent back by the fayth, but someone else from the messed up future also goes back, on her own volition (new person has no idea what Yuna's timeline is). A time-traveling sphere that was made instead of found could really help. It'd explain why she's here and in her future, the bad guys who have already taken over are looking for it.

I just hope this doesn't get too Terminator-ish.

Any more cool ideas?
