Welcome to Gaia! ::

Hey, peoples!
This will be my first year attempting Nanowrimo and I'm really nervous. I have everything sketched out already, though. Plot, characters, setting. But most everything I write ends up sounding childish and I don't like people reading my work until I've edited it. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to suck it up this time. XD
Pumpkin, nobody will be reading your NaNo unless you let them. 3nodding The word count is done through a robot and if you're *really* worried about someone reading it, you can always scramble it. There are instructions here. smile

Lorelock, I almost never do that. I have a basic appearance and back story for my characters and let things come out as I write.
That's how my '07's MMC had abandonment issues and how my FMC became an otaku. XD

And howdy, Da Flea! heart

I lurked around Gaia SuWriMos time but now that I have a decent computer I'm comin' back to Gaia.
I usually frequent the NaNo forums year 'round though. Great people are there.

Also I FINALLY CAME UP WITH A PLOT. It wasn't even one I was planning on using. Morning Musume did it. xd heart
nano scares me D:

but i think i'm going to try this time. :3
at least i can't do any worse than last year xd heart
Whooo! My seminar was really good today. We wrote about ourselves to warm up and get to know either other, and then listened to some music and wrote the first setting that came to mind. I kinda liked it, actually. We have to start working on a portfolio of new work. =O
Da Flea
Morsuaile

This is my annual return to Gaia just for NaNo, it's easier then lurking through the real NaNo forums, haha. So I never really know Gaian "regulars"...

What's funny is I think of you as a regular because I know you. XD You're a Nano regular. That's what matters.

I'm another person who lurks most of the time until wrimos. I wonder how many remember me? ninja

I am a martyr I just need a motive/I am a martyr I just need a cause

Haha guess I stop by when it matters then, lol. And I most definitely remember you - and pretty much anyone from Days' thread and the guild :3

@Psychotic; That was a creative writing seminar right? I have a Creative Writing Class starting this January that I'm excited for but really have no idea what it's going to be like. I've never had a writing class before ^^;;
I'm a believer I just need to a moment /I'm a believer I just need a cause

Every year I sign up for NaNo. Every year, there's no busier or less suitable time for me to enter NaNo than November, yet I do it anyway. And every year I scribble like a madman, screaming "aaargh!!! I need 458 more words or I won't pass today's quota!" and I ask myself WHY , OH WHY do I do this to myself? Am I a masochist or something?

And every year, at the first of December, I'm relieved and happy and proud of all the hard work I've done, and I can't wait for next time.

Howdy thar. dramallama

My Nano idea is already going through big changes. Originally I was going to make a collection of short stories, all centered around the same character but mostly unconnected in plot. But as I plan, I've been making it more into a novel where various parts connect and there's an overall plotline. I'm not sure I like it as much now. o_<

EEEEEEEEEEEEHEHEHEHEHHEHHEHHEHEHE. rofl

I cannot wait for NaNo. @w@
I did it last year. Won. Never went back to edit. Got 50,006 words with, what, and hour left? Yeah. o.x The novel was not pretty when I started rereading it. I believe it should be burned. buried. dug up. burned again. and dropped from the top of the 'Willis' tower.

But! I am back again this year- With a vengeance! In fact, I will be writing, not one! But TWO books. One I am starting in October and it will be more of a year long project, while I will be starting the second in November. Plus, I'm going to try and juggle some school work, taking care of a recovering mom (major surgery recently), and hopefully make it to write-ins!

AHHH.

Kill me now? neutral

But, still. I can't waittttt! rofl

And, besides that, I'm Squiddish. o.O Dur.

am I the only Canadian who feels slightly bitter towards the American WriMos for the extra holiday they get during November? I've considered celebrating the American Thanksgiving for the days off, but I don't think that would go over too well with my boss and teachers, haha.

I guess that only works for the kids because I'm dreading the holiday; it means I "get" to work lots and lots of overtime. If only it was now, in September, one of the rare months with no major holidays....

But I recommend celebrating it anyway. It's a great excuse to gorge on food someone else makes.

If I'm going to gorge on someone else's food I'm going to have to find someone else to celebrate it, haha.

OH WAIT, a girl in my geology class just moved here from Florida. This might work!

Thanks for the idea, you fiend you!
And while I'm thinking about it, has there been a Dare Thread on Gaia akin to the multiple Dare Threads throughout the NaNoWriMo forums in the past? That would be something to separate from the NaNoWriMo stickie, I assume.
