Tomorrow's another write in so I should catch up a bit there. smile love as thou wilt I ended up going with a dog from a dream I had when I was tiny where my dog was replaced by a fake that was, in its real form, sort of a half-rotted zombie Komondor, only dark red-orange. Don't laugh! It was terrifying and the idea still creeps me out... too bad I can't think of a better description than that, or what I went with for the story, which was something about it being draped in a rotted shag rug. sweatdrop I'll have to draw the thing someday and beg people for a better description. (When I had the dream I'd never even heard of or seen one of those dogs.... weird.) |

How determined are you in NaNoWriMo? Do you try to stick to your usual thoroughness, or do you bend the rules because of time constraints?
For example: When I find myself stuck and unable to figure out how to proceed with a scene or transition, I just type "insert later" and skip to a scene that I am able to more easily write. |

It is more natural for me not to write in order, I challenge myself with NaNo to write in order and it kills me. gonk |

I'm not too far along (damn you AP US History!) but I'm at least having fun with the story. It's something i've been mulling over from time to time when the mood strikes. I won't go into too much detail (as I haven't even hashed out the plot yet) but it basically puts a spin on the idea of "Grim Reapers" and death.

Ugh...Day 6 is starting and I'm a shade under 6000. According to the pace tracker, I need to hit 10 grand by the end of the day or I'm history. Doesn't help that I'm currently battling seasonal affective depression. >_<

xXDeadly_ThornsXx I'm so rdy biggrin i alrdy started planning Planning? YOU'RE NOT READY! YOU'RE LATE! AUUUUUGH! ... moving on. I got sucked into the land of TVTropes again. I think I was looking at the Earworms section and then I went to... something and then travelled through the sections about bad guy power scaling, bad santa, puns and various related pages... someone help me. Edit: I think I'm writing fairly well here. I'm putting in weird little things I didn't think of until right before I wrote them, and doing little charactery things that will come back to bite my main character later when she realizes she probably should have just run for it instead of hanging out with Mr. Crazy Guy. heart (Actually that gets the worst possible ending, 'Abandonment', where she gets thrown back into the normal world, nobody believes her crazy story and she spends the rest of her life wandering the town searching for her missing daughter.) (I actually plotted the damn story out like it was a game and the player's actions would affect the ending. sweatdrop ) For some reason I feel a lot safer writing on my DS even though nobody gives a damn what I'm writing and they're all asleep so couldn't read over my shoulder anyway. |
