NaNoWriMo 2009 is over! How did you do?

Urgh...
This is my first time doing NaNo
And I'm barrely over 100 words...
I just started two days ago
But I hit a TOTAL writer's block...
And no inspiration to write.
I LOVE to write and usually have no problem.
But my muse totally ditched me.
*sigh*
And if RP posts counted, I'd have WAY more than just this month's quota...

Ugh. This is me. And my daughter decided to jump off the dining room table and busted her lower lip yesterday, so now I'm distracted as well as uninspired. [I have to keep one damn eye on my little Wonder Woman before she cracks her skull. D:]

That was my daughter two years ago. Jumped off anything that was high up. "Catch me, mommy!" I'm just lucky she never really hurt herself. What slowed her down was the day she jumped off a chair and landed flat on her face. Didn't stop her altogether, but it sure made her more careful.

Unfortunately, I don't think she'll learn from this experience. She's the most hard-headed child I've ever met in my life. She's proudly showing off her stitches [four] to her twin sister and everybody else within sight and she's getting extra attention from my wife [who pitched a b***h] and her grandmother. Next she'll be scaling the refrigerator. >_>

Ah. Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. My brother was hardheaded like that. Busted his skull open so many times the emergency room knew us by name. The last time it happened I think it straightened something out in his brain, because he stopped all the rowdy play after that.

Ah. Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. My brother was hardheaded like that. Busted his skull open so many times the emergency room knew us by name. The last time it happened I think it straightened something out in his brain, because he stopped all the rowdy play after that.

My brother breaks things all the time. He broke his heel once and the doctors didn't notice until it healed.

I think I'm about a day behind, but school got out at noon and no school tomorrow, and my best friend is gone for the weekend, so I should have no distractions.

as one of the characters tried to find the name of the mute kid - and after she learned it I realized I'm probably never going to use it because he's named the same as another character and it feels weird to have the same name for two main characters and, no, I can't change it. Finally I decided to cut the scene short and have her guess it (and it's a fairly odd name) quickly. Then I got to describe a creepy monster and realize I'd written her and her mother in the same general situations but in different order (broken window, fog and monster for the girl, fog, monster and broken window for her mother...)

Also, do you know why the Silent Hill games don't let you break, say, into windows and cars and such? Because they know the players would go around and smash EVERY window and break into EVERY car in hopes of finding goodies - I let my main character break into one car to get a map and some health drinks (literally called 'Health Drink' because it amused me and she rationalized it as being a generic-brand energy drink) and now she's going to check every goddamn car she comes across. And I'm not sure how to stop her. sweatdrop

And I can't decide what the dog-monsters of this game story should look like. I don't want to be cheap and just steal from one of the actual games.
