I feel like this is an interesting beginning to a fic. The main thing I'd improve is expanding on this with detail. Think about questions like: who are the characters, and what are their connections to each other? How did they get in the position they are in now? Are the clans the same, or are there any different ones?

I'd say write the whole story out, and then edit it. Usually during the writing stage, many ideas will come to you and any plans you made for the plot can change. Nobody has a perfect first draft (or even a decent second or third draft), so no sense worrying about the writing too much now when you might scrap the entire beginning later on in the story in favor of a better idea. Just get all the story and ideas down on paper. 3nodding
