I started earlier today.

I'm aiming for 30k right now but that will be adjusted no doubt.

I have about 2500 words currently.

My plot pretty out there but this is the first thing I'm actually trying to write in maybe 2 years??

It's about a girl who was born into a dragon hunting legacy but lives in an era where dragons are extinct. But then later on it's revealed that dragon conservationists stole some dragon eggs and were secretly trying to hatch them for the past 50 years. There's some other really weird things going in there too....

It's pretty wacky and it's set in a modern-day type of society. Well not exactly modern day but certainly modern-ish.

I tried this last year and gave up at 10K. I'm gonna try harder this year! Though, I actually forgot about it. Good news is, I actually started a new story last week, and I already have about 5K. I think I can actually do it this year!

I'm not a writer or a reader, but I saw this around August last year and I was somehow compelled to try doing NaNoWriMo. Due to time and a new computer setup with a HORRRIBLE wireless keyboard, I didn't get past chapter 3 I think.

I think I'll come up with something and I'll try for oh let's say 25k words for now... Sign me up!

Hmm.
Well, my goal is 100k at the minute. And, I already reached 77.5k, so I think in a week or so I may have to up my goal. >_>

This novel is way longer than I'd planned.

I'm likely to be very busy with school come November, and I've got a story that doesn't want to wait to be written anyway, so this works out perfect. Sign me up. 50k or bust! biggrin
