You don't need advice. Look at this forum. People scream bloody murder when expected to follow directions or fix things. The dog girl thread is atrocious, not giving answers, bad attoturu, using doublethink on potholes, rampant sexism, etc.

You're smarter than all those guys. You don't just take critique, but SDK for it.

As everyone else pretty much has said read a lot. It really does help and as long as your not stealing other peoples work you really can get ideas of your own from others ideas. A lot of authors used others written work as inspiration. Always don't give up too. That's a big problem for me. If you really want to write just keep writing. Edit and revisie your own work often as well. It helps you see what needs to be added and what doesn't. Also have others read it.
